Let me tell you a little story about how Zesty Paws Calming Bites helped my family and our beloved pups.I have a household of three humans, three dogs and two bearded dragons. Our dogs are as followed: Aspen our eight year old German Shepherd, Reilley my six year old German Sheperd/Rotti mix, and then the main character to this tale, Ava, my mom’s Catahula Cur/Pitbull mix.I adopted Ava for my mom after our oldest dog of sixteen years had to be put down. Ava was a little ball of energy but that was to be expected with her two breed make up. She was shy around the other two at first, but then she fit right in as if she was always meant to become part of our family. It was about a month or so into Ava living with us that tragedy struck. What we did not know is that Ava had been previously abused with her collar making her terrified and panic when a collar is placed over or being taken off her head. When this happens, she goes into pure horror and distress that she starts screaming like nothing I have ever heard. Well one day this happened and in all the commotion I believe Reilley thought she was hurting my mom and went after Ava. After we got them separated we knew that we could not just have them together as if nothing happened. So we consulted our vet who suggested reintroducing them slowly over a period of time. This was fine for a few days for my mom had a small vacation, but then the problem came up that the dogs would be home while everyone in the house was at work. Our vet suggested try either a crate or get a baby gate and place her into a room where she is most comfortable and feels safe. This would be my mom’s room since every night she goes to bed and sleeps right next to my mom. So this is what we did while slowly starting to reintroduce them. They could see each other through the gate and get acquainted with each others scent once more and be supervised while outside.Things seem to be going well until we found out that once everyone was back at work, Ava had extreme separation anxiety from my mom. She would dig holes through her mattress, ripping out the foam and even the springs. Tear up blankets and sheets to shreds and also bit and crack the wood part of my mom’s box spring. It had gotten so bad that no noise (such a music or a tv on for her), toys or clothes that smelled like my mom could help calm her down once we left. We were running out of options because we did not want to crate her. This is when I consulted my veterinarian and she suggested getting Ava either on medication she prescribed or trying some calming treats online. I have never heard of calming treats and being a kid straight from college with her first job, I was trying to save as much money as possible while still giving my animal the best care.I read a lot of reviews on so many different products when I finally came across Zesty Paws and their Calming Bites. Once they came into the mail I let Ava get used to them over the weekend and also wanted to see how they would affect her while everyone was home.I cannot thank you enough for this amazing product. Ever since getting these treats, Ava’s anxiety and over all hyper active ness has softened to the point where we are even able to leave her home overnight if need be. She is also not tearing up her toys into little tiny pieces and overall is a happier pup. They especially help when I take her one car rides for she doesn’t get car sick anymore. These treats worked amazingly for Ava and I know every dog is different and takes to medicine in different ways, but these bites really work. She loves the flavor too so that is a plus!

I’m not sure what to say but I’ve got a story

oh boy, do I have a story to share! My furry friend, who usually eats everything from lint off the floor to my shoes (true story), made me question if these bites would pass her taste test.At first, I wasn't sure if she'd enjoy the taste. I mean, who can predict a dog's palate, right? But I decided to give it a shot and offered her one in the morning for a week straight. To my surprise, her behavior remained unchanged. Not one to give up easily, I upped the ante and tried two bites – one in the AM and one in the PM. Still, no noticeable difference in her anxiety levels. Then came the day of dread – nail clipping. If you've ever tried this with a dog who despises it, you know the struggle. That's when my partner had a brilliant idea. They crushed up two of these Peanut Butter Calming Bites and, lo and behold, our pup miraculously calmed down for the entire nail-clipping session. We continued crushing them up, and it did seem like she was acting calmer, but honestly, it's hard to say if it was the bites or her mind playing tricks on her. Dogs are mysterious creatures, aren't they? Now, here's the part you might want to watch out for: if your dog has a sensitive tummy, these might not be the right choice. Our girl turned into a little gas factory, and we endured a month of daily "serenades." 🎶💨In the end, Peanut Butter Calming Bites turned out to be a mixed bag of tricks for us. They might not have worked like magic for our dog's anxiety, but they did provide some unexpected relief during nail-clipping nightmares. Just remember, every pup is unique, so your mileage may vary! 🐕🥜#DogTreats #CalmingBites #FurryFriendAnxiety
