I’m learning that the nonstick surfaces on kitchen appliances are not safe, meaning they are carcinogenic. It’s important to be careful how you wash your Teflon or non-stick surfaces.I have always been very careful with using soft sponges after soaking kitchenware. And I never used utensils that could scratch it especially metal ones.After about four months of use, probably a couple times a week at the most, I’m noticing the Teflon coating is coming off. This is exactly what you don’t want.Since my experience with Amazon purchases, it’s impossible to get good warranties or returns outside of their short window. I will no longer purchase appliances through Amazon and will go to Costco. Pretty much most appliances have nonstick surfaces. I purchased a Ninja through Costco that has sides that are nonstick coated, but the trays are not. One tray is, but I won’t use it unless I have foil on it.Air fryers, which are really just small convection, sand cookers, are very convenient for quick meals. I do like the concept of this product or unique air fryer, because the basket is easy to throw items in toss around and cook.Keep in mind that any air fryer use cannot stack foods high. Despite a tall basket, you really can’t cook things evenly in my experience, if you go beyond a layer or two.So do your homework and best to you!
