Faster, Drives in Grass, Super Entertaining, Bring both Batteries!
By Kacie and Zack on Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2019
We bought our 4 year old son 2 R/C cars for XMas this year. The first, called the Thunder Tumbler, runs on AA batteries (Plus) but is much more clunky to steer, drives much more slowly than the Cyclone, and does not have the power to drive through grass - concrete only! The Cyclone is super fast, super fun --- my son vastly prefers driving it. The ONLY downside to this car, is that the battery pack dies after 20-30 minutes. The UPSIDE is that the car comes with 2 battery packs. So, if you charge them both up, you can gogogo, swap batteries, gogogo, and get a solid hour of entertainment in. Idk if you've ever actually taken your kiddo to drive an R/C car outside, but... you'd be surprised at how long 1 Hour actually is. I don't know; now that he and I are used to the battery life, it's actually a bit of a plus, since I can't be kid-wrangled into standing outside in the cold for 2 hours while he drives it! Another MAJOR upside, which ultimately pushes me from 4 stars to 5, is the company selling this. We had an issue with the first car we bought (ended up being a defect in the car itself, most likely wiring - happens). I sent 1 email to USA Toyz at like, 9PM Christmas Day or something absurd like that, expecting to hear back in a week or so. Nope! USA Toyz emailed me back within 30 minutes, apologized for the defect, and offered to ship a replacement free of charge. Freaking sold man -- everyone on here is ultimately just reselling stuff from overseas, right? So the true mark of a good Amazon Seller, in my mind, is how they respond to defects, as opposed to whether there are defects in the first place. USA Toyz really took care of us, painlessly, and for that reason I consider them a 5 Star Seller to buy from. But yeah... the car is rad! You should get one! Go ahead ya big goof, buy it!

Really fun car, doesn't last
By Troyerd on Reviewed in the United States on June 22, 2021
This car is great and easy to drive for younger kids. I got one for my son who is 5 and he loves it. It does some cool tricks. It quit about 5 months after we bought it as he was driving it. I'm disappointed because he get a chance to really play with it a whole lot yet. I've had one before this that lasted at least a year. Great car, but may not last very long.

Favorite Christmas present!!

This RC car was a huge hit for my 4-year old grandson at Christmas. I appreciated that the 2 rechargeable batteries for the car arrived pre-charged. They did run out fairly quickly, but once the batteries died and we fully charged them up again, the car ran for 20-30 min/per battery. The car also works great indoors or out; truly an all-terrain vehicle. Great toy!
Best toy car EVER

This is the best toy car I've ever bought! My 4 year old and 2 year old love it! There is no getting up to fix it because they can't figure it out. It literally bounces off of everything and keeps going. It is very durable! It hits everything like it didn't hit anything 😂 the only down side is the battery life..it maybe lasts 15-20 minutes. Other than that, super 5 stars!
Great RC car for beginners, a little too crazy for indoors. Short runtime on each battery.

I gave this to my son for his birthday and he was really excited. Car drives great and is really fast for an indoor space (currently too cold to go outdoors with it but looking forward to spring!) Because this car can flip upside down and keep going it is great for kids that don't have great driving skills yet because they don't have to worry about crashing it. It has a lot of power and all it takes to get it to start flipping all around is just alternate from forward to reveres and back quickly on the controller and it will start bouncing around like crazy. We've only been playing with it for a few days but I have not seen anything to concern me about durability unless you are crashing it off of elevated areas like a table or counter top (or roof for really crazy people). The car comes with two batteries and both are inside of an air bubble wrapper to provide some cushioning for the battery when the car is bouncing around. Only complaint so far is that the batteries only last for maybe 30 min or so each before needing charged and they can take an hour or two to charge depending on the power on your charger. Pros: fast car, handles bouncing around well. Batteries are cushioned against impacts. Comes with two batteries and a USB cable to charge. You can use any USB port that charges like a cell phone charger or wall outlet with USB ports. Since car can run on either side it is great for kids or people that just want to be crazy with it and have fun, no need to be a precise cautious driver Cons: Batteries only last a short while, bigger batteries would have been nice. Batter cord inside car is short so depending on your finger dexterity it might be hard to plug/unplug the battery from the car. Battery has a two wire molex connecter on it so you need to use the charging cord that comes with the car. Would have been nicer if it came with a USB micro port or something similar on the battery so that you could use a standard cell phone charging cord you probably already have laying around. Car is great for little kids and dads who are kids at heart. I plan on buying a 2nd one for my nephew in the future.

We got a few of these cars for the kids. They really enjoyed playing with them. The cars are fast and seem very durable. The flipping over, spinning, and lights make them a lot of fun for the kids. Works well on pavements as well as off-road. One of the cars had a technical issue and wasn’t working as well out of the box. I contacted the Force1 support team and they were incredible. Very responsive and helpful. Got feedback from them immediately and they sent us a free replacement right away. New car worked perfectly. We really appreciated and were impressed with both the customer service and the car.

UPDATE The company sent me a new car for free and let me keep the old car, great customer service, I will definitely keep shopping through them. The car came with 2 batteries, one of them would not charge and the other only lasts about 3 minutes and it takes about an hour to charge. The remote constantly disconnects from the car so you have to keep shutting the remote off and turning it back on to reconnect. The kids like it when it actually works but for $30 they should be able to play longer than 3 minutes once an hour.
Very bad battery-charge setup

This car is incredibly bad designed. As mentioned by many customers, the charge of one battery only lasts about 8 minutes. Then the fun is over. Worse, considering that you have to recharge and exchange the battery all the time, EVERY time you want to charge the battery, it has to be taken out of the car by opening the battery compartment with a tiny screw. The battery cannot be charged without taking it out of that compartment that opens/closes with a tiny screw and screw driver. So even if you have two charged-up batteries (total of about 16 minutes of fun), you need to have a special screwdriver with you to exchange the battery. Even worse, once the battery is connected, immediately several lights on the car will start blinking. Looks cool but drains the battery even further. These lights can not be turned off unless you disconnect the battery (= open/close the battery compartment). We took the car to a play date, fully charged, but did not play with it until the next morning. By that time, the blinking lights had drained the battery and the car could not be started/played with. This is incredibly disappointing for the kids and maddening for the parents. An absolute waste of money and energy. What a bad design. Shameful.

Santa gave this car to my 6-yr-old for Christmas, and he loves it. It's simple enough that he doesn't have a hard time using it, and it is powerful enough that he gets super exited when it climbs up a wall and flips over with ease. The other day he was folding up the rug in our living room to build a jump his car could fly off of. Performance-wise it is great. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the battery compartment requires a mini screw driver every time we want to change the battery, and since the battery doesn't last super long, we change it frequently, which is a little tedious. We haven't lost the mini screwdriver yet, but knowing my son it will probably be lost in the next couple months, so it will be even more tedious to change the battery because we'll have to pull out our electronic screwdrivers which we keep stored where the boys won't get to them. Overall for the price, this car is awesome! If it didn't require a mini screwdriver, or at least had some sort of compartment to store the screwdriver somewhere with/on the car, I would definitely have rated it a 5.

I agree with what everyone else has said...this is a great car for kids, goes VERY FAST, and works really well inside and out / all-terrain. We bought it for our 6 year old grandson and he loves it. CONS: the screw to the battery case is miniscule, as is the screwdriver provided...maybe great for Santa's elves, but we had to find a bigger screwdriver to remove and replace the cover (multiple times - read on). We received two rechargeable batteries, which is much appreciated. Both were dead upon arrival. It took almost 2 hours to charge each of them (true to the information provided) and the batteries each ran down after only 5-10 minutes of play. Our grandson wanted to take his car to the park, but we felt it wouldn't be worth the drive for a mere 15-20 minutes of playtime. I wish there was an option for a battery with longer life. Other than that, we love everything about it!
