Superior Fan
By Ashley Riley on Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2023
I am so happy I spent the months leading up to my birthday rallying my frugal husband to purchase this for me. At first, I was unsure about buying a pre-owned fan, but I am so happy that I was able to save $100 over buying the brand new version (and my husband was, too). The fan I received was renewed by Dyson, meaning they took apart the fan, cleaned and fixed it, and essentially made it “like new” again. Because it was renewed by Dyson themselves, it comes with a one year warranty. There are some slight cosmetics defects, but they are so minimal that they’re inconsequential. Everyone knows that Dyson products are fantastic, and this one is no exception. I’ve been using the fan for over a month now and I am struggling to think of anything that I don’t like about it. It has WiFi connect-ability and I love being able to control the fan via Alexa and my phone, as well as the controller that comes with the fan. With the Dyson app, I can see the indoor and outdoor temperature, humidity level, and air quality (this feature is particularly important since we live in a region with wildfire smoke). I love that it improves the air quality of our bedroom because of the HEPA filter. I can also see and receive alerts about the quality of the filter and when it needs to be replaced. Overall, one of the best purchases I’ve made for our home, and planning on getting more in the future for additional bedrooms.

Stopped working after only 5 days
By HPark on Reviewed in the United States on April 26, 2018
I bought this fan and it worked great for 5 days. Yesterday, the fan just stopped working...no error message on the display. I have a couple of issues with this... 1) Obviously, the fan should still be working. I am in the process of trying to figure out what is going on. 2) The manual is very sparse on information. There should be much more detail about setup and troubleshooting. 2a) I think that I have figured out the issue...blown fuse on the plug. But, this information is only mentioned in a "fine print" blurb on one of the last pages of the manual. At the time of stoppage, there was no power surge or outage in my apartment, so I think that it is just a cheap fuse that blew out early. In any case, I feel like I shouldn't be in this position after only 5 days. Hopefully, it's not a bigger issue with the motor or something else. I will try and find a replacement fuse to see if that resolves the issue and update this review if necessary. UPDATE: Replaced the fuses in the plug and it still will not start up. I will be returning this item as it has an electrical problem and does not work after 5 days of use.
