Smooth ride!
By Mima on Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2019
Wanted to wait to write a review until we had at least taken the suitcases on an airplane and actually checked them in. When it comes to sturdiness, carry on trips don't really count since you are the only one handling the luggage. So the carry-on size was just perfect for a long weekend trip. Loved the smooth ride through the airport. I had a personal item (pretty heavy) placed on top and both rolled right alongside me. On carpeted areas it would take a little more effort but overall very easy to move. My husband has the same set but different color and he did complain that the handle was a little flimsy! I was able to fit my husband's suit in the carry-on by laying half the suit jacket and (folded) pants flat in the bottom of the zippered side, place his dressed shirts on top, with some extra clothes and fold the other half of the jacket over on top. I zipped up the compression side, which kept everything nicely in place and his suit arrived in tip top shape. I really like the zippered compression side because it keeps smaller items, like small toiletry bags or hairdryers from rolling around. The extra attachments that fit inside the suitcases come in very handy for keeping neck ties from wrinkling. I have not used the separate laundry bag but did unzip the lining on the inside of the suitcase to separate dirty clothes from clean. All three sizes have come on a recent overseas trip with us. The largest size was not able to withstand airline personnel, so now has a crack in it. It cracked close to the zipper, but no dents. Still usable but unfortunate! Makes you wonder if it will survive another plane ride! (and it's only been on one) The medium sizes did fine. Weight is so important, so was happy to notice that all sizes are lighter than expected. The built in lock is easy to program and easy to use. Nice not to have to worry about those tiny little keys that get lost or forgotten so easily!!

Broken handles
By velvet on Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2025
I have had these 5 years. I thought the zippers would be the problem area, but it is the handles. All three cases have have broken both fixed lift handles when lifting to put into vehicles. All six handles! Making them useless when on a trip. I only use once or twice a year and store in my climate controlled closet.

Fits in overhead bins on domestic and international flights works with AmazonBasics packing cubes.

Got this for a trip to week long trip Australia which included some domestic flying both in the United States and Australia. This luggage fit in all of the overhead storage for United and Qantas airlines. One small note my luggage for this trip was stuff to the maximum weight since it was a carry-on and I was traveling for a week when I got on a Qantas domestic flights they made me check this at one point because it was 2 kg over the weight limit. Just something to keep in mind if you're packing way too much stuff, any normal human would not have had this problem. I was really impressed with how well everything I had fit inside the suitcase, I also got the AmazonBasics 4-Piece Packing Cube Set which snuggly fit 3 of the 4 cubes inside it which got me an extra set of clothing plus some additional socks etc. I used the forth cube in my carry on which was the AmazonBasics Slim Carry On Travel Backpack. The travel backpack has a sleeve on it so you can put the backpack on top of the luggage over the handle, the luggage was able to handle this extra weight on the arms without any noticeable bending. The overall feel of the luggage is pretty firm, I wasn't worried about it breaking on me during my trip. The hard case has a little give which is nice when trying to stuff this into the overhead of smaller older planes, I flew a 717 for part of my trip and even zipped up it took a small amount of push to get this to fit but I was at no point worried about it breaking. Make sure to change the lock code, it isn't hard to do but some people in the reviews have complained about it. For me it at least it wasn't a problem.
Wish the lock feature didn't use hyroglifics....

So the suitcase is great! The wheels move well and there is tons of space and compartments. After unboxing the suitcase I was eager to open it. I took to Amazon to figure out how and learned how to set the lock and open it. 000 will open it, push the button in and set a code and boom, push the lock. Worked like a charm. I couldn't figure out the hyroglifics, but managed to come up with the brilliant idea to use them to spell the word mom to make. Picture attached. It is honestly so weird the company doesn't use letters or numbers for the lock. I don't know why they would use symbols like a snake, mountain, circle with a squiggle on top, circle with a squiggle on bottom, intertwined rings, horizon, square, race track, upside down triangle with handle. I mean realistically it could make it harder for a thief to get into the case to guess your hyroglific code instead of your average everyday codes but I'd never remember mountain, squiggle on bottom and triangle with a handle. So I used the race track, square, race track to for the word mom. It will have to do for now. But seriously.. Great suitcase for the price. And yes I know the code is numbers, but I didn't realize it until hours later when I saw the suitcase sideways after contemplating the symbols and how to make it work for a good 15 minutes. Don't judge me. I'm judging you and how easy you got it, Kay?
Quality can be of concern, but there are some positives!

I agree with the comments regarding the quality of this luggage. I traveled internationally to JP with the 28" w/ tsa lock version of luggage for 2 weeks and I found the following. On the negative side: 1. The strap inside which holds down the compression divider broke during shipping. I didn't overpack, so this just might be a defect of my specific luggage, who knows. 2. I carried about 23kg in my luggage, and the top handle came off towards the end of the trip. I was unable to snap it back on. So basically, i was without a top handle which was suuuper annoying since i was carrying a ton of souvenirs. 3. There's nothing on the luggage w/ a name tag, So i had to buy a separate one -- this was no problem, except that the handle broke off (see #1), so my name tag fell off. On the positive side: 1. I thought the zippers were of good quality. 2. The amount of space was awesome 3. The lock that held the zippers into place were good 4. It's cheap! 5. Dual wheels for all 4 of the wheels -- pretty rare for a lot of these luggages 6. It's made out of "extra-thick" ABS which did seem to hold up nicely 7. The feet on the side were nice so that when I didn't want the luggage to roll, i could just turn it on its side. 8. The handle that moves up and down had two settings. This was nice.
This should be a bestseller. :)

I'm leaving for a 4 day trip and me and my husband are going to attempt to share this carry on. It's actually a lot of space, lots of storage pockets which I really wanted to keep organized and be able to neatly fit more. The product is beautiful, clean design, and has very practical and easy maneuverability. The lock is superrrr easy to use, I never had a luggage with a lock and I really like this one. I was afraid to get this one because of some bad reviews and photos of this item broken. But mine arrived today in perfect shape. I was impressed. It is very lightweight. I'm not too sure about it being just as durable as other luggage and carry ons, but for the price, it was very valuable and I honestly am glad I chose this one compared to the other affordable options on Amazon. In my opinion, I am surprised that this is not a bestseller. Overall, this is great option for those with a lower budget and looking for something with a nice design and a good amount of storage space. :) ps. Lint and hair seem to stick to it which is nothing major, just something funny about it. But I highly recommend!!!! The black one we got looks so chic and classy. :)

I’ve had this for about a year now and am really impressed with how well it’s held up. I travel for work - every week - and have never found an inexpensive bag that’s worked well. This is super easy to maneuver, the handle is sturdy, the exterior is tough and doesn’t show dirt or scuffs. Easy to recognize on the baggage carousel due to the unique color - it’s more of a gunmetal grey than the silver it’s described as. The carry-on size works for all domestic airlines - I’ve never been asked to check it and it tucks neatly into the overhead bin no matter what direction it’s facing. Only flaw, the interior compression straps on the medium size bag weren’t stitched correctly and have started to tear away from the bag. This isn’t a big deal to me and while it’s not repairable (by me at least because it’s sewn to plastic, not cloth) I’ll continue to use it until the exterior of the bag or the zipper fails. I recommend this line of luggage to all my peers and am surprised that I rarely see anyone else with these bags. They’re an AMAZING value for the price and a fantastic option for frequent travelers who don’t want to spend $$$ on luggage.
Nice! Lock feature needs instructions.

The “Green” is a bit darker than the photo. It’s more of a dark hunter green rathee than a grass green. This is a nice carry on for the price. I haven’t used it yet, so will update review after several uses and see how it holds up. I was able to fit a nice amount of clothing in it, including two light coats inside. It has an expandable zipper, so could probably hold a bit more. LOCKING FEATURE: Mine arrived locked. No instructions were included to set the lock, so here’s how to set it (for those of you who may be confused like I initially was): It should have arrived locked with the combo 000. To unlock, slide the shackle (to the right of the metal zipper handles) to the right. Next, use a paper clip or other small tool (in my case I used the end of a headphone jack), to press down the small black square (to the right of the numbers). While holding the black square down, set your new number combo by scrolling to whatever three digit combo you choose. Then, release the square. Your combo should now work. I tested it by setting it back to 000, and it will now only unlock when I scroll to my combo. Seems simple, but sometimes it can be confusing to try to set a lock without instruction. Hope this helps.

First off those of you that are men, you will be happy to know this color is more copper than pink and is definitely unisex. What's great about this luggage? Zippers - solid 3+ stars we will see how they last Construction - solid for the price 4 stars Expansion area - Good if not great 4 stars Material of the hard side - good but probably not strong enough 4 stars Rollers - amazing , a solid 5 stars, and if you love good rollers this bag will make you smile Compartments - for the price - 4 stars maybe better. TSA Lock - works well and they give you a tiny card you can keep in the bag which is smart. Would I buy it again. ABSOLUTELY, but I have just taken it on one tough trip to NYC that it did fantastic on. We will see how this thing looks like in 5 years time. The lacquer on the handle button already chipped. Good luck shopping, this one deserves consideration for that 1-3 night bag. Well done AmazonBasics! Not sure you can do better at this price point?
Standard Carry-on Size (for the most part)

This carry-on luggage was amazing for it's price! One of my main concerns after taking it out of the box was the sturdiness of the extending handle cause it was pretty wiggly but it help up for it's first trip. Another thing that concerned me was after I had closed my luggage the seams/stitching was starting to pull and show which had me worried but I guess I won't over pack next times. Something else that I learned was that if you expand the luggage depth wise, it will exceed the standard carry-on size but luckily, the person checking us in was really nice about it. LASTLY, the "hard" exterior is a pretty thin plastic which surprised me but made sense as to why it was so light. Don't expect it to fall down some stairs and survive unscathed, it will had a dent at the least. Other than those things, this was a delight to use and really good looking! Value wise: it was amazing! many compartments and little details to organize and keep things in order while traveling. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Just wished it was a little more sturdy and rugged.
