Decided to get it. Not dissapointed.
By Bryant D. Guardado on Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2019
After reviewing many backpacks on here I decided to get the eBag Professional Slim. I personally like how it feels really well built. I also like that there are a couple different pockets, zippers and places to put different kind of things one would carry. I place my Mac charger in the suede pocket, use the vertical zipper in the front to easily access my headphones, use the bottom hard pocket to keep delicate things like camera lenses or even snacks that I wouldn't like crushed, and in the flip out pocket I keep all my cables, adapters, hotspot, usb, external hard drive, pens, etc. I was afraid that the water bottle pocket would be too small to fit my reusable water bottle but to my surprise the pocket fits it well enough that the bottle doesn’t feel like it would fall out. That was a pleasant surprise. One drawback is that this is indeed a heavier backpack even though it is slim. This is probably due to padding and all the pockets, etc. However, this isn’t so much of a problem for me since I don't carry the bag for extended periods of time, and if I do, clipping on the chest clip helps alleviate some of that weight. Another thing you might not necessarily like is that the main zippers open in an L shape (only goes down on one side). For me at the beginning this was a bit weird, specially since sometimes you want to open the bag wide to see what’s inside, but to be honest I got used to it quickly and it hasn’t been much of a problem. Definitely not a deal breaker for me. One other thing I do like is that you can place it on your carry on bag’s handle through the back. I rarely travel, but every time I do I find this to be a problem so having this feature is convenient. My last backpack lasted me almost 9 years (and I could have used it a bit longer but it started to break), so I hope this bag lasts just as long. So far, that seems likely.

Good but not great for the business traveler
By M. Barnes on Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2019
Over all it’s a decent bag, but it’s not great. I’ve now traveled with the bag on 6 business trips. Here’s what I’ve come to really dislike about the bag. 1. It doesn’t easily slide onto and off my roller bag handle. It gets caught a lot, and it can be a big inconvenience during rushes moments. I dislike this design problem enough that I’m considering another bag. 2. The zipper on the outside pocket, where all you easy-access things like phone and passport should go, zips the wrong way. A couple of times, over the course of a travel day, gravity caused the pocket to open. 3. The iPad pocket is too small. My little iPad w/ a case on it is very difficult to get in and out, and my iPad Pro doesn’t fit at all. It’s not a bad bag, but it’s not as well designed for the serious traveller as they claim in their video. I was going to get the bigger version for short trips, but I think I’ll try another bag.
