AmazonBasics Sport Laptop Backpack

just a quick review.. details I wanted to know even after reading the description and other reviews... this backpack is sturdier that a standard bookbag so it's not exactly lightweight but for my needs I wanted sturdy.. I often use a bag this size for quick grocery runs on my bicycle and a few weeks ago broke a bottle of kimchi.. a mess I never want to deal with ever again! Got this on prime day for $16(!).. grey was 1/2 the cost of the other colours and I'm frugal.. so... - top handle is cushioned and 1" wide, comfortable even when full of groceries - back/largest compartment is as deep as the bag and depending on your use of the bottom "shoe" compartment is very roomy.. it has a laptop/tablet sleeve which does have a soft felt-like side.. be aware if you are carrying a laptop this sleeve does go the entire depth of the bag, a mistake many designs make as if you do drop you will probably hear a crack.. if the sleeve only stopped a few inches short the 1/2" back padding would aide in cushioning - middle compartment is slim, perhaps 16" deep with 2 pen and 2 cellphone sized nylon pockets - front compartment is slim, ~ 12" deep, no pockets - bottom "shoe" compartment was a big selling point for me. As a gym bag a place for shoes, at the beach wet towels, and for my use a small watermelon! The divider between the main compartment and this bottom compartment which allow 75/25% or 25/75% use of the space depending on which you need the most for this price I was not expecting ykk zippers but these seem somewhat sturdy .. the zippers on all 3 top compartments only open halfway down the bag (i actually prefer as things won't spill out if I open too wide).. the main compartment having 2 zippers and the other 2 a single zipper each - additionally there is a sunglass/phone zippered felt lined pocket between the 2nd and third compartment, large enough for even the largest of cellphones - 2 waterbottle pockets, comfortable straps and other pluses make this bag a very versatile pack.. yes, the materials are budget but overall it looks like I will have it for some time. And if I EVER break another bottle of kimchi this pack is make of materials that will wash and dry easily!
