Mellow 9" Metal Platform Bed Frame

The frame is durable, I’ll give it that. But that’s it. Putting it together took two hours, and there is still a corner that isn’t together properly because it didn’t fit right. I wanted to give the frame the benefit of the doubt, so I’m writing this six plus months after purchase and assembly. If you have wood/linoleum/vinyl floors, invest in cinder blocks or get an area rug, though I’m not sure even that will help. Every night, the act of getting into my bed sends it skating across my vinyl floors like an air hockey puck. The bed is solid and I’m plus sized, so I was pretty impressed given the issue with the corner. Then my bed started moving. I’m handicapped and deal with a lot of chronic pain issues. If I hurt, I’ll toss and turn at night. On these nights, I wake with my back bowed up, head below the edge of the bed (usually around 5am in a lot of pain), because all 8 of my pillows have been lost to the 10”+ gap between the frame and the wall. So far I’ve tried a non skid furniture pad, rug tape, shelf liner, and currently have six cinder blocks beneath the bed. We’re adding three more tomorrow because the bed went sailing 12” when I got in it tonight. My next step is to consider bolting a piece of wood to my floor, surely the bed won’t move that. I’ve never had an issue like this before. I’ve had standard frames, captain’s bed, daybed, and futon; and I’ve never had an experience like this before.
