KATSURA Kiritsuke Chef Knife – 8 Inch

Best. Knife. EVER. This knife is fantastic! It's so well made, it's the sharpest knife you'll ever buy, and it makes a great gift for someone who likes to cook. I got this for my fiance who loves cooking and loves things in Damascus type patterns. The Damascus on this knife is gorgeous!! It's also super easy to use. It's been the go to item in out kitchen for a while. It's worth the price a million times over.

This knife is super sharp and looks like those knife that costs $100+++! I just moved to a new house and looking to replace some old knives. So I heard about the durable Japanese steel knife and went ahead and tried this. it came with a nice gift box and the size of this knife is just right for daily cutting use. Definitely will recommend to friends and I think it is a good housewarming gift! Will try other sizes to bring a set to our new kitchen!

Excellent butcher cleaver. Highly recommended. My only complaint and 4 stars is because the cleaver blade does not have as much color contrast as the sales image. The two tone blade is much more subtle in real life.

It is very comfortable to hold and allows you to use it for an extended period of time. The blade is made of high quality steel and is very sharp. Amazing knife I’m a chef at seasons 52 I use these knife and also the Gyuto 8” and I love them both this razor sharp out the box! It held its edge for a couple days until I sharpened it! Worth the price does everything from garnish to protein! Really worth it!

The knife looks beautiful, has a really satisfying weight in hand and comes in a nice box (perfect for a present). Out of the box it was very sharp!

For me, this knife was unwieldy for paring. The knife out of the box had to be sharpened before use. The Damascus cladding doesn't leave as much of the AUS-10 to work with over time as it's resharpened. Pretty enough, but there are better knives to be had.

I opened this at the Post Office and showed it to a woman, who then bought one and emailed me!.. I did not know her, but she loves hers, too

A bit on the heavy side, but a good solid knife with real Damascus layering.

The design of the knife is not as distinguished as it is in the photograph… it’s very faint so if you’re buying it because you think it’s pretty …it is. It’s just not as pretty as the picture …everything else is functional
