Very Good for the money ... completely satisfied
By thomas rung on Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2019
very satisfied -- light weight, easy to set up, accurate (left everything as it came from the factory), slider works very well and smooth, clamp does the job. The 24-tooth included blade seems to be of good quality and cuts smoothly, though I did install a 60-tooth combination blade for cutting oak and eventually will buy a 40-tooth for in-between work. I converted an old cart that someone threw away by adding two pieces of 1x3 furring strip with 4 bolts ...

I’m not even sure this is a real delta. If it is, they need some help with QC. The motor has such a hard start that you’ll dig into anything you’re cutting to a stop, which is also a useless depth stop. Arrived with a chipped casting corner, and is so loud it’s annoying to use. Menards probably has a better cheap saw than this one made in the same factory. Terribly mediocre and poor adjustment of miter angle. 3 stars because it’s light.

It has embiggened my toolbox and it will probably embiggen yours as well.

This is a perfectly cromulent mitre saw and the best value from a trusted brand name I could find. No regrets. The negative reviewer with photos showing the 'plywood' (that's obviously a stack of 1x2s) that suddenly jumped into the guard and damaged it is an [expletive deleted]. This practice is clearly counter-indicated by the manual and inherently quite dangerous. Most anyone who has used a sliding mitre saw figures out, one way or another, that kickback will occur if you pull the trigger with the blade on the wood. It's gonna sound like I'm not saying that our good friend mentioned above did this exact thing with no experience using this type of power saw and can't take personal responsiblity for damaging a perfectly fine tool so displays it then blames the manufacturer....................... Oh, and a number of negative reviews by Captain Obvious wanna-bes who pointed out that this model doesn't perform like 'their' $1200 one are like minded with our friend above. Sometimes I wonder why people leave negative reviews on their base model Mazda 2 because it's not a BMW M3... It is your prerogative to not buy this high-value mitre saw based upon the hypotherical negative reviews referenced above. It has embiggened my toolbox, it can embiggen yours as well.
Good saw. Nice platform but disappointing indents/ lock

I like delta. I have a chopbox that I still works over 20 yrs hard work...but was disappointed in the table indents for 0 degrees and 45degees. It should lock tight but instead seems kind of sloppy and you really have to pay attention or you could be off half a degree.... So after 2 years of heavy work and abuse, I have to say it's been a great saw...once you get past the indents issues and get used to things, it has worked well . Fairly rugged and reliable. I'm hard on my tools and the have to withstand weather and being moved/ hauled around a lot. Now the only complaint I have w this saw and many of the others is the bevel gauge is always cheaply made. The marking point was inked or painted but once the paint wears away from weather and use, it's almost impossible to accurately gauge your bevel cut
Full cut of 1x12 pine boards. Accurate & light weight.

I purchased this unit for one specific reason, to cut and trim 1x12 boards making book shelves. I was impressed with the cutting accuracy and available power. Cuts were clean and true. Great little sea that does a great job. I will say one little con.....the dust collection bag is worthless. I highly recommend this saw.

Cheap Price, Solid Build

I originally ordered this miter saw through Lowes in early January, but cancelled the order when I was notified it was delayed to mid March. I then ordered it from Amazon, and received in in 2 days. I was very surprised by the weight, as it actually feels lighter than our old Delta 10-inch, non-sliding miter saw. This thing is very easy to move around. One has to be aware of the torque that the motor produces, this thing KICKS if you are not paying attention. The blade is nice and sharp, and cuts are quick and clean.

Returned 2 of these in a row.. that both arrived damaged. 1st one cord retainer was broken.. no biggie! But only option was returning after a price drop. I was never offered a refund for the difference in price! 2nd one was total junk! It had bad bearings in the slide and was so rough pushing and pulling it was unusable. Optioning for a better saw
Great product for the price !! You won’t be dissappoined !

EZ set up, EZ operation with no performance issues. Only minor flaw is the laser is a fraction off from the actual blade cut! Double checking the instructions to see if you can adjust it but I’m more comfortable aligning the blade tip to my pencil scribe anyway before ai begin my cut anyway ! Dust bag Is IK... but never seen any dust collection bag that ever really worked well !

Unbox carefully in case you decide to return it, noticing how the saw sits in the well banged up styrofoam... Did not care for the soft detents on the miter table. They are not a positive lock at angle, but rather more of a suggestion - give or take a degree or two. I saw no way to fix this. That means every time you move the miter table to 0 or any of the other common angles, you have to bump the arm every time to get the correct angle. And I get that this is a budget saw, but the trigger and safety felt really cheap. After taking the time to square it up, I put it back in the box and returned to Amazon. Added a star for being made in Taiwan and not China. If it wasn't for the detent problem I might have kept it. But I did not try running it so who knows... Should have paid attention to the other low star reviews.
