Its not really lightweight. But I prefer a heavier blanket... only issue is my kid stole it from me and when I find it I try to hide it. She always finds it though. So I have to wait for her to be asleep, then I grab it and run. Id get another one, but then she'd have two. Its a wonderful throw, and quite irresistible.

Nice blanket with a few snags

I bought 2 of these for our living room. I love the look and feel of them but they arrived with snags in them. The top of the blanket is like a crocheted blanket and I can see snagging over time but not right of the package. I had to cut a total of 7 snags off of the two blankets combined. Again nice blanket. Can’t say I’d buy again but for $20, not worth me returning.
