Know what you are looking for and you will be happy!!
By Ruthann on Reviewed in the United States on January 8, 2020
After a solid ten years of using an already used mattress we got to a point where we could no longer pull any life from our king mattress. I searched online for a long period of time prior to arriving to this choice. Here are some things to consider prior to purchasing: First: Purchasing a mattress online is a viable option if you know what you are looking for. It is also normally a less expensive option than going to the big box stores. Second: If you are unsure of what you are looking for in a mattress I would suggest going into a store and trying a few out to see what you are in the market for and then purchasing online. Third: I would highly recommend a mattress in a box, this is my second purchase of one and I have yet to be unsatisfied, but DO YOUR RESEARCH! Things to Note: We decided on the 10” hybrid mattress, this bed is great for those who are restless sleepers or those who live with restless sleepers. The mattress allows for “motion isolation”, I am not sure if I am sleeping better because of the new mattress or because I no longer wake up every time my husband moves but so far it has been perfect for our needs. Bounce: If you are looking for a bed with a little bounce the bed still has coils that provide the “give” that you are looking for in the bed. Firmness: If you are looking for a firm bed, this bed has the memory foam in it so it has a less “give” than a coil only mattress but provides a happy medium. Plushness: I wouldn’t consider this bed as “plush” as others but we have a down topper that allows us the fluffy feel we are looking to have. Support: A big part of our search was looking for a bed that was firm enough to give support but soft enough to conform to our body’s. This mattress allows for the sleeper to lie on their back or side and we have felt no discomfort. My husband also has severe back pain and he has had no issues adjusting to the new mattress. Packaging: The mattress, came well packaged with a “paper cutter” type accessory to allow for easy removal of the plastic. Take care when moving, this mattress is heavy! Smell: I know that there is a concern with weird “smells” from certain manufacturers, this mattress had no odd odors. Unravel: Once you roll out the mattress it will feel “bouncier” than normal, allow the mattress a few hours to fully adjust to being out of the package before sleeping on it. Lastly, if you have a restless partner, need a new mattress, and want to have a mattress that offers a little bit of everything, I would recommend this mattress. I am going to purchase another one as well and upgrade our guest bedroom to a king size mattress as well.

Soft, squishy sinking mattress
By Jennifer Rinehart on Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2022
This is the worst mattress I have ever bought. I will try to list, in order, the many ways that this mattress is a waste of money, makes my body feel like I've been sleeping in a hammock full of farts and dirty laundry; 1. Expansion - This mattress didn't fully expand. Per the directions, once we received the mattress we unwrapped it and set it against the wall to offgas and expand. Like our last mattress (a Zinus queen size mattress that we really loved, but unfortunately was unavailable) it uncoiled and began to puff up, but it never fully plumped, for wont of another word, the fabric on top was still wrinkled and deflated looking by the third day (to be exact, the third and a half day). Since we had just moved and my hubby and I were sleeping on a bedroll and so sore and tired and desperate for a bed, we decided against letting it air out and expand for a fourth day (fourth and a half, to be exact), a decision we came to regret (maybe the fourth day was the miracle day where the lump became a better mattress?). 2. Softness - this bed is so so soft. if you sit on the end or sides it squashes down like a piece of sweet hawaiian bread. If you maneuver to the center of the bed, it sinks in, smothering your weak cries for help. Along with the new mattress, we bought a new bed, it is similar to our last bed, with the slats instead of using a boxspring, this mattress made me think that if I weighed more it might end up oozing between the slats all the way to the floor, sorta like that playdoh barbershop toy that used to be on tv when I was a kid. The mattress is so soft that I had to put a pillow at my back to keep myself from rolling into the middle with my husband and when I get out of the bed (not get up, get out, like crawling from a hole) I have to grab onto the sides for leverage to pull myself away from the middle and then out of the mattress. It is almost comical, except for the part where I wake up with lower back pain to match the shoulder and neck pain that has been plagueing me for weeks. 3. Odor - The mattress seemed to hold onto the chemical smells far longer than our last mattress, I had to buy a very fluffy mattress cover to try and block some of the smell and it is STILL very noticeable. But, to be fair, my husband says he can't smell it anymore especially since he started to take sudafed daily for seasonal allergies, so I guess that is an option. The odor has lessened in the last few weeks but its still noticeable to me and I think anyone with scent sensitivity would need to know. 4. Comfort and sleep quality - I am feeling so sore and tired every morning, trying to sleep on this deflated marshmallow of a bed. I have completely given up on it and just ordered a new mattress. I read all of the super happy reviews and it feels like these people bought an entirely different mattress. Just for info sake, my mattress is a queen size and it was delivered in May 2022.
