MCP for daily use - best bang for your buck!
By Owais Khan on Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2021
Bought the MCP 8 piece set 2 years ago and it handles most of our daily needs without taking much space in our New York apartment. We like the metal lids and use these in the oven as well as on the stove. My only wish is that the handles didn’t get so hot when on the stove, but I suppose that’s the cost of the whole piece being oven-safe.The brushed/satin combination is very attractive and our pots and pans still look pretty new (barkeepers friend ftw). The heat distribution is amazing. This is one of a few sets that carries the aluminum through the walls of the saucepans rather than only on the base, and it definitely does so at the best price point. Highly recommend for those setting up their kitchens while trying to avoid Teflon, just give yourself time to get used to cooking on stainless steel. We were novices, and figured it out eventually. The amazing sears and caramelization are worth it.

Beautiful, until you start using them
By Bizzle on Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2017
The quality and sturdiness of the pots are what I love. They're absolutely gorgeous! I was pulling them out of the box and like falling in love with how beautiful they are. My wife was getting uncomfortable.I love that they feel great and have a good weight to them. I especially love that they're good for high heat and can even be placed in the oven up to 500 degrees F, so it's almost like cast iron in that sense. They're much easier to clean than cast iron of course, since they're stainless steel. However, I do have major complaints about the finish on the inside. After only 1 time using the pans, it's almost like that shiny, beautiful, flawless finish completely vanishes, and you have these grimy, cloudy, discolored pans on the inside. This made me uncomfortable.I read the manual and care instructions and we didn't do anything crazy with them....just...boiled some beans and rice....and they look horrible inside now. I've had to buy some polish, like bar keeper's friend, to get them to shine again. Really not sure why this should be necessary, but maybe that's just the reality of having stainless steel cookware? If you're going to buy these, just be aware that they won't always look as beautiful as the day you got them unless you maintain them with some sort of polish.
