OXO Good Grip Aluminum Pole Corner Shower Caddy

This pole caddy is great, except for one fatal design flaw. Rather than having a spring loaded design, this pole has a rachet. It's actually pretty cool. You grab the middle and pull on either end and both ends extend. You unlock the base, put the pole in the desired location, and then extend it so that it meets the ceiling. That's great except that it doesn't get tight at all that way, and there is no way to truly tighten it so that it has enough friction with the ceiling to stay up once it carries the weight of all your shampoos and body washes. My solution was to extend it to the ceiling as far as possible, take it down, rachet it one more notch, and then pound it into position. That made it tight, but not tight enough. It fell over in the middle of the night. Frankly, I don't know how this product has any good reviews. It simply doesn't work. I don't know how it even can work.
