My cautious cat was a little put off by the loud crinkle texture of the material, so it took her a few attempts to really come to grips with it, but by the end of the first day she was all the way in, swiping at me with her little paw through the arm and leg holes, scooting through, hiding in the middle, peeking out, she was LOVIN IT. It comes with ties on one end so you can theoretically gathering the hoops together and tie it up to put it away, which I was counting on because my apartment is small and I don’t need the entire living area full of a big crinkly tiger tube, and I like to rotate my little lady’s toys, and it DOES technically work, but the ties are way too short to make it easy, and I wish the ties were like 3 inches longer, because it was a bit of a production to get it secured. I might end up just using Velcro ties instead because I don’t want to have to engage in a life or death struggle every time to get it contained. If you live in a huge house with a room just for cat enrichment, you’re good, don’t even worry about it, BUY THIS TOY. But if you live in a small space and want to be able to put it away, just a small warning about the difficulty of doing that, I recommend getting an alternate method for securing it.

PROS & CONS HERE
By A. Young on Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2021
Thanks for reading!! I've been and am a cat mom of over 40 years and have gone through quite a few cat tunnels. I love the concept of this one with the cute design, sneaky openings on the side and the extra reinforced fabric. But there are too many flaws for us to keep it. Back story - I have 2 furbabies, a Maine Coon and Scottish Fold. 1 13lb-er and 1 18 lb-er. We live in approximately 950 square ft. They are both 5 and super active. See @purrs_and_pours on Instagram to compare/for size reference. NOTE: I do not rate cat items based on if my cats like something or not. It happens. It doesn't mean it's not a decent product so I take a deeper dive. With that said, take a look - PROS: *Very well made. Martha Stewart also makes a sturdy tunnel but this one will definitely live up to wear and tear without the wires popping through the fabric. The wires popping through is very common on the cheap tunnels. I go through cheap ones 2 or 3 times a year. You can tell this thing can handle some beatings. *The legs offer an opportunity for other cats to sneak attack whoever is on the inside, which cats love to do. *I got it less than ONE day after I ordered it. *The openings at the head and tail are larger than other tunnels. NEUTRALS: *It is noticeably shorter than cheap tunnels. My cats like to get a good running start and zoom/sprint through their other tunnels (think, wildlings on the loose at top speed). This may or may not matter (we never got to test it because of the smell) but is noted here for those to pay attention to the measurements. *Does not have a case/pouch like the cheap tunnels. This was not a dealbreaker but again, noted here for folks who need that. CONS: *IT STINKS! It smells like a tire factory. I tried dealing for hours but couldn't. One kitty is sensitive to strong smells (essential oils, candles, certain cleaners) and his eyes began to tear after awhile. Also, the smell of tires filled my condo. I eventually had to give up and pack it back up. No, I did not sit it outside to air it and you'll see why further down. *The strings that tie it closed are much shorter than other tunnels. I have small fingers (ring finger is a 4.5) and struggled tying this thing back up to put it back in the box. *The legs/side openings are small, seemingly for kitten size or young adults so if you have smaller cats, it works. Not so much for adults 12lbs and up IMO. You cannot tell this from the ad. It's double lined (which is fantastic) but the holes are cut smaller than the head and tail (why?) and the extra fabric makes those holes even smaller. My cats would not be able to use this part of the toy. *It is LOUD. LOUD OVER THE TV LOUD. This is just from me taking it out and stretching it. I was shocked at how loud this one is. I expected crinkle. This is madness. I mean the crinkle is on 1000. Think vacuum cleaner decibels. Apparently from the reviews, many kitties don't mind this. Mine didn't care for it at all and instead of being curious, they stayed away. Now we all know that when Amazon delivers, the cats get nosey. Nope, mine were blinking at me hard with every crinkle as I tried to coax them in. We're in a small space. This would wake me or be heard while on work zooms. For comparison, I have 2 Litter Robots and this crinkle noise decibel level is louder. I compared (decibel reader). Between the smell and noise, my babies were never going to let me force this on them and I didn't want to. We have lots of crinkle toys. This is super duper crink! (Made a new word). I wanted to love this based on the description and reviews. Maybe mine was in someone's warehouse next to a tire shop? Ultimately, the uber-crinkle combined with the tire smell and the size of the side holes were the reason for the return. The cons win this time. Hope this helps someone!
