I bought three of these for a very long car ride, two of them for cats, one of them for a 3ft lizard. The lizard, it worked great. There was enough space for her to be able to move around, she didn’t get her claws caught up in it, overall I was happy with it for her. My cats, on the other hand, are escape artists we found out, or these carriers just suck at feline containment. En route to another state, one of them escaped the carrier and was roaming in the car where I couldn’t pull over, after I had done everything “right” for security. The top zipper just magically pulls back, if a cat so happens to pull on the inside of the mesh. After rigging it closed with zip ties, thinking it was just that particular carrier, it happened again with my other cat. My kid got scratched in the back seat, my cat was screaming to get out of the moving vehicle, I was yelling, it was a bad time. 3 out of 5 stars, because it’s great for reptiles and not so great for cats.
