Best Cheap Nespress Decaf
By M. C. ALLEN on Reviewed in the United States on March 24, 2021
I think I have tried every cheap Nespresso decaf Amazon sells. Unlike regular coffees where you can find an abundance of more-or-less acceptable inexpensive alternatives. All of them except La Llave range from barely palatable to undrinkable. La Llave is OK and very inexpensive so it gets 5 stars. The coffee has a good flavor but a slightly burnt finish. It does not have the chemical tastes so many cheap decafs have. I put neither milk nor sugar in by coffee. However, my spouse doses her coffee and agrees with my evaluation. p.s., I think the "LL" is supposed to be pronounced in the Castilian manner as the English "J", making it (sorta) "Java."

Does not pour the proper amount.
By officerdicky on Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2022
Does not pour the correct amount of coffee. I was excited to try these because of the price and reputation of the Latin coffee brand - I often drink the Don Franscisco brand for my regular machine when I need to drink pots of coffee. La llave and Don Francisco are owned by the same company F. Gavina and Sons. So I just received the capsules and couldn't help but immediately make a cup. I pressed espresso and heard my machine run for only a few seconds and thought it odd. I then looked to see what at best was a ristretto size pour. I was saddened but drank it anyways and it was delicious. So I immediately poured another using the lungo setting - I thought that maybe with the lungo, I would get an espresso sized pour. No luck. What you see in the picture (center) is what was poured. I immediately thought my machine finally reached the end of its life, so I put a regular glass under the spout and ran a lungo pour without a capsule. What came out (right) was a lungo pour. The flavor is great, but I would have to use two capsules to make one espresso, so it's completely not cost effective and any other name brand would cost less. Not sure if it's the fact that the capsules are made of plastic instead of aluminum or if it's due to some other reason, but it just doesn't make the amount it should. Up until this product, I have only used Nespresso and Starbucks. I've been using the Nespresso for the past 2 years (LOVE THEM) and the Starbucks for the past 4 months (like them) after finding them on sale at Costco. I'll search for another quality brand and take another chance... otherwise I'll stick to tried and true products such as Nespresso and Starbucks.
