Great humidifier, interesting noises
By Ricci on Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2024
First of all, this humidifier does what it's supposed to do - it monitors the humidity in a room and gets going once the humidity drops below a set percentage. The tank is big and easy to fill, and it plops right back into the machine. The filter (sold separately) is also super easy to install. I love that it has two nozzles on top of each other that can point in different directions and cover a wider area. The reason I subtracted a star is the noises it's making. Not the nozzles or the steam - when it comes on, there is a noise almost like a faint growl (I suspected cat shenanigans before I realized it is the humidifier). After installing the filter, from time to time there is a "belching" sound as a bubble of air travels through it. Other than that, I'm very happy with my purchase and hope it will last me a long time! Edit: I added a star to this review because of the fantastic customer service! They were super quick in their responses and very generous, I seriously could not be happier. Thank you, Elechome!

Died 2 Days After Return Window. I Cannot Recommend This Humidifier.
By Lemon on Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2020
I really wanted to like this unit. It had features that I wanted and got good reviews. Unfortunately, my experience with this humidifier was not a positive one. Maybe I got a factory reject. The humidifier completely stopped working 2 days after the return window closed. Now I have to start the search all over. I am hoping that the manufacturer sees this and offers to replace it as a good will gesture. I will report back if this happens. Here are other indications that this unit was destined to fail prematurely. The unit worked well for the 1st 2 days. I had it set to produce high quantity, cool mist until 50% RH (relative humidity) was reached, then shut off until the room's ambient RH fell to 45% or below, at which point, the unit should have turned back on. No sleep timer or any other controls were engaged. My experience as a field inspector has shown me many times over that the built-in humidistats on these types of units are of low quality and unreliable. Therefore, I put 2 calibrated stand alone digital hygrometers in the room. As mentioned, the humidifier performed as advertised for the 1st 2 days. Problems began on day 3. The humidistat on the unit start reading higher than the two separate digital hygrometers. A couple of percentage points higher would have been acceptable, but it soon became 20% points higher. This is completely unacceptable. I had to keep turning up my desired set point on the humidifier to trick it into staying on in order to achieve and maintain my desired endpoint of 45-49% RH. This is critical to protect valuable stringed instruments stored in this small 9x10 ft bedroom. This soon became an impossible task. I would check everything before leaving for work in the morning. By the time I returned home, the room was down to 30-32% RH, and after about 2 weeks, the %RH was in the 20's! Yikes. The water tank was full, so I believe the sensor thought that it didn't need to turn on. At this point, I decide to completely forgo using a preset RH. Instead, I set it to the lowest cool mist output setting & let it run continuously. This didn't work either. Towards the end, the humidistat on the unit thought it was over 90% in the room. My 2 hygrometers were reading % RH in the 70's. I cleaned the unit one last time. Afterwards, the unit has never been able to be turned on. The on-board buttons do not engage. The remote control does not work either. Now the unit is completely unusable & I cannot return it. Lastly, I found that the base is not easily cleanable, btw. There are nooks & crannies that required me to break out my set of extremely tiny brushes to mechanically scrub those channels. Swishing a little vinegar is only step 1. You must use a Q-tip, small brush, paper towel- anything to mechanically remove residue, dirt, microbes, etc. from surfaces. Maybe that's my hospital training, but it is absolutely true. This is another thing that the manufacturer needs to re-evaluate. Make all of those tiny channels wider so that normal people can actually get in there with a Q-tip. I should also note that I purchased the recommended separate water filter plus the humidifier tank cleaner cartridge that acts as an antimicrobial water treatment by continually releasing aluminum oxide and silver into the water. Both items were used every time. All in all, this humidifier looked good on paper but was a huge disappointment and ultimately, a waste of my time and money. Sadly, I cannot recommend this product.
