Shark DuoClean Cordless Stick Vacuum

Paid full price (over $270 something) for the listed “brand new” Shark Ion Flex Duo Clean vacuum. Purchased it b/c we loved our home one so much so decided to get another one. The package was damaged and barely being held together by tape. Immediately my gut dropped when I opened it, and clearly could tell it was used!! The manuals were all scratched and upon inspecting the vacuum cleaner while still in my garage - My suspicion was confirmed- see attached pictures. The vacuum was clearly used & whoever used it last didn’t even bother emptying the dirt reservoir. It had an awful smell to it, scratches on it, and the battery wasn’t even in the box that it was supposed to be. It was just in the box unsecure completely unsafe, since it’s a lithium ion battery. Even if this had been purchased use, that is completely unacceptable. Beware since I purchased the “brand new option” for the full price listed and instead got a smelly, dusty, used vacuum that we immediately returned the very same day, within an hour of receiving it.
