Exactly what I was hoping for in a tortilla press

I read reviews on this and many other tortilla presses. I used my press the day after receiving it and was absolutely happy with the results. Many reviews state that you still "need to" roll the tortilla with a rolling pin or add something inside the press to accomplish a properly proportioned tortilla. I found that simply rotating the tortilla, still while between 2 sheets of plastic wrap, and pressing several different times as the tortilla was turned worked just great. The heavy weight of the press lends to the sturdiness and I am very happy with my purchase.

Not very useful and poor quality

I purchaed this about a month ago. Used it only once and did not see it useful and handy. After I pressed it, the black paint on the lift starting to falling off and my fingers would turn black. I don't feel safe to use it with those black stuff on my fingers. It was $24 when I paid it. And now, it's only $14.99 with a $5 off coupon. It totally wasted my $24. I think about return, but don't feel like paying $6 for the postage.
