From zero to 5 stars & how I did it.
By Connie on Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2019
Had high hopes, but as another review states it sinks flat against the mattress when used & might as well not have a pillow @ all. That was exactly right. So ordered another memory foam pillow. 2nd one was like laying head on a rock (no exaggeration here) & I can only surmise someone had a warehouse full of decade old pillows that were still “new” & never sold before. That’s how ling it took my amazing memory foam pillow to become hard. Returned 2nd one right away & planned to do same w/ this Mugetu pillow. Ordered a 3rd memory foam pillow w/ same ergomic & 3 layer features & it was nearer to perfect! Slept on this 3rd one a few nights & even tho I could comfortably sleep w/ it, I started wanting it to be just a smidge softer. That’s when I swapped out the top layers of the 3rd pillow w/ this too soft flattening to nothing Mugutu memory foam pillow. The ridges didn’t exactly line up but made absolutely no difference that they didn’t. Couldn’t see or feel the misaligned ridges @ all w/ pillowcase on. No slipping or sliding. And the comfort level became PERFECT w/o raising the pillow height too high. So now I couldn’t send this Mugetu pillow back & keep my other pillow’s comfort level w/ the switched tops. So I switched other layers & tried different configurations of the 2 sandwich layer pillows to see if I could use this Mugetu pillow just as comfortably, & it works too now. So I can change these 2 pillows’ layers now & then & give myself more pillow choices when I want a change for a little while. I like to use the 3rd pillow for sleeping on (w/the Mugetu top layer on it) & this Mugetu w/ it’s swapped out part either behind my head & neck (Injured cervical spine) when sitting in my LR chair & need something squishy soft & thinner to do that comfortably in a chair. The squishier Mugetu also feels good behind my back in chairs too, so I’ll probably end up buting another of this Mugetu sqishy pillow for behind my back (yes that part of spine is injured too) in my chair! This Mugetu pillow is the squishiest thing I’ve ever come across that was a solid & not a gel. But turns out there are some great ways to use it to soften other pillows or use in other ways so it went from totally useless (no stars!) to 5 stars by the time I discovered it’s usefulness! Sometimes you have to think outside the box to get the best of the best!

"OOH-OOH That Smell"
By FiftiesguyinCT on Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2019
I only got the pillow today, and was impressed how it formed into its larger size out of the box. But I tried it with a nap and couldn't get over the chemical smell that the pillow has, even after putting an additional pillow case on it. It's a little soft for my likings as well. I'll give it a week, as others have posted the smell goes away, and I want to see how firm it is a few days from now. If warranted, I'll come back and edit my review but as of this moment, it's going to be returned. After a few days the smell is definitely lessening. It's still there, but not nearly as strong. I've raised the rating to three stars, and will probably keep the pillow, though I do wish it were a bit more firm.
