Easy to assemble and sturdy, good customer service

My kid and I put this together in just over an hour. Comes with a small screwdriver, but you need a larger one with more torque to make it work, but that was no big deal. The only other tool you need is a small blade to trim off the ends of the tape strips on the back. Good instructions, and comes with extra parts too. Very sturdy and attractive. When it first showed up the package looked damaged. Sure enough, the two long side pieces were cracked. I contact Amazon customer service. They called me back right away and arranged a replacement. It arrived in 2 days! The original box was very large and heavy so I was unable to take it to the UPS store to return it, so they arranged pickup from my house 2 days later. All very easy!

Definitely DO NOT recommend

I definitely wouldn’t recommend this bookshelf. The first one I received was defective and one of the parts was missing a key component. So I couldn’t put it together. It was so frustrating because I was almost finish with the bookshelf. They only allow refunds if you ship it back which is a hassle because that means you have to completely unassemble the bookshelf and ship it back. Fortunately the first one I hadn’t thrown away the huge boxes, but it was still a pain to take apart. The second came and the defective part was rectified but none of the pieces done together properly; holes don’t align etc. so it throws everything off. I would return the second one but I don’t want to take it a part again and have to buy new boxes to send back. So I’ll take the loss but I’ll never buy from them again. If it would have put together properly the storage would have been perfect for what I needed. Due to parts not fitting etc the sturdiness is terrible, already had one shelf fall, and it’s only been put together for a week or so.
