Easy to trim & adheres nicely

We decided to move our pantry light on the outside of the wall versus inside, and had to do something about the repair to the wallboard when adding a third switch. We plan on painting the area, but at this time, we are still not sure what color, and decided to do something different until we are ready to remodel kitchen area. So, we came up with putting a magnetic sheet and putting some of our magnets from traveling on it (to remove the clutter on the fridge). I spent a few hours on researching this before choosing this magnetic chalkboard. When we received it, we laid it out on a table and put some textbooks down on it to get it to flatten out maybe for a couple of hours, but really, there wasn't that much to flatten out, just the ends. We cleaned the wall and let it dry for a few minutes. We used a Xacto knife to the hole for the switch plate. Easy to cut. It adhered nicely, no bubbles, easy to smooth out. With this being said, not all our magnets would stick, they were too heavy and the magnet on them was just a small disk, so we will order some magnetic strips to put on the back of the magnet and then try again. The markers may seem dry and not work at first, but you have to shake it and push down until the liquid saturates the marker. Then it works perfectly. It washes off with water and just press down to remove any "indentations" from writing on it. It was exactly how I envisioned it and we are both quite happy with the results.

Does not stick to anything
By holly on Reviewed in the United States on October 26, 2021
I bought this to make a magnetic “play wall” for my toddler. Needless to say I now have a bunch of oversized magnets and nowhere to stick them. Product does not stick to any surface. Cleaned wall thoroughly, allowed it to dry for over a day, unrolled the product a day ahead and allowed time for it to flatten, and applied product as instructions say. I even used the two person, “pull the back off a little at a time because once it sticks, it sticks” method. It honestly doesn’t matter how you peel the backing off because it didn’t stick to my wall, my door, or any other flat, not dusty, not cracked, nonporous surface in my home. I had even cut it in half prior to sticking it to help get the curl out. I can’t rate the item on “ease to clean” because I never got passed the installation phase. Waste of money.
