AmazonBasics Cotton Duvet Cover Set King

So let's peel back the cover on this and get busy :-)I bought these duvet covers (two sets, twin size as my wife and I don't like to share a blanket) to replace some old, worn out ones. I was seeking specifically, a well made product, with modern and clean designs and most importantly, a duvet they breathes well and wouldn't overheat me when sleeping. And oh, it couldn't feel like i had cardboard covering me like some duvets feel.Our mattress is memory foam which can run on the warmer side (heat retention and heat deflection) and I run "hot" as a sleeper. Whereas my wife runs "cool" body temp wise.This duvet cover is very well made. All seams are sewn well and the opening for inserting your comforter has button closures with a neat flap that covers the buttons for a very clean, crisp and professional finished look once fully assembled and spread across the bed.The top, or up-facing cover has the design you choose and the the bottom layer is made of a solid color which matches a color in the top's design, again creating a very clean, professional looking finish.And on comfort, I can best describe this duvet as, "It feels great, baby."Truly a supple feel due to the sateen weave and it's sheen is what I would call low. The finish is NOT like satin; which we despise but rather sateen, which is what we were looking and which is of a higher quality duvet or cover that you'd find in a W Hotel or Ritz Carlton (yes, I've stayed in both brands and others too).Material breathability were key to my purchase decision and this duvet delivers on that promise 100%. While we're still in the colder months with temps here in California with 38 degrees overnight, and we keep our room at 62 overnight, this duvet keeps me warm or creating cold spots.For me, the duvet has the right amount of heat retention and allows for heat dissipation.My wife loves her matching duvet too. Her comforter is a heavier weight than mine as she prefers a heavier blanket feel and she needs/wants to be warmer when she sleeps. My comforter is more of a summer or lightweight version so our setup works well for us, each being able to customize our heat/cool feel while still having matching duvets for a nice look to our bed when it's made.At this price point, $30.09 for a twin set (Taupe Mesh Ogee), I think you're going to be hard pressed to find higher quality materials and manufacturing than this set.We bought two different patterns (Mauve Wave is the other) so we can have one set in the laundry and one on the bed without having to do laundry the same day we remake our bed.On a scale of 1-10, I rate these a 10 across the board for quality, workmanship, materials, details, design, fit/finish, comfort, breathability and of course, value.Feel free to post any questions to my review and I'll do my best to reply.Again, if you find my review helpful or useful, please give it a thumbs up vote.
