Amazon Basics Full Microfiber Sheet Set - Full Blue Grey

It seems like different colors of these sheets may have different feel/quality to them. I've purchased two (three?) solids before and really liked them... they stayed smooth, cool, and comfy -- these light blue gingham sheets do not. After an initial wash I put them on my bed. They went on easily and tucked nicely under the corners of my pillow top mattress. (Yay!) I got a bit of knee burn as I shuffled across the bed on my knees. (Oops!) When I went to bed, I enjoyed the refreshing coolness of the sheets, even though shaking out the top sheet felt a bit reminiscent of a cheap tablecloth. Settling in took longer, which I attributed to the new sheets. Afterwards I had a very restless night of sleep, and woke to my legs tangled in the sheets. On night two, I woke up several times during the night, irritated by the feel of the sheets. At one point I vaguely remember tossing the top sheet off and looking for the soft flannel one I had used all winter. Here we are, a week or so later. I've washed the full set and tried them again. The bottom is cool and smooth, but the top still clings uncomfortably to my legs. I really wanted to like these, especially with the hot days of summer. I'll continue to sleep on the bottom sheet, and hopefully I'll find a use for the top sheet. Maybe after the COVID-19 pandemic is over I _will_ use this as a cheap tablecloth or picnic sheet! LOL Oh, one more thing: the pillowcases don't stay nicely on my pillows. I've never experienced pillowcases that slide around sideways on a pillow and that don't stay on well. I guess my new blue gingham "tablecloth" will have some matching napkins soon! :p
