Heats up fast

I purchased this item for my grandma since she she does not have a stove. It’s easy for her to use and will work on pans that you can test with a magnet. If the magnet sticks to the bottom of the pan it will work with this item

WORTHLESS

Shame on me for not making sure this worked when I received it. This item was purchased for an extra burner for the patio. I never needed it until we lost our gas stove and oven due to damage to our exterior gas line connection. Now when we needed it, it will not work after diligently following the instructions as well as the secondary instructions on Amazon’s site (not the instruction manual which accompanied the product. Clearly it’s malfunctioning because none of the startup steps result in it doing anything except showing only the bottom 1/2 of the number 8 with a line underneath it. It does not heat up or do anything except beeping and running the fan. Trying about 15 times to get it started, resulted in utter failure.
