• Bialetti pots simplify the pasta preparation process
By Deebz on Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2025
Cooking pasta or noodles should not be a chore, and this pot simplifies the process. This pot comes in a variety of colors that would match most kitchen decors. I chose red because it is attractive color for a pot (see photos). The material is lightweight and has a non-stick interior that facilitates a quick cleaning after use. The top quickly screws on-and-off with a quick quarter turn. The vented top allows you to quickly drain the cooked pasta and noodles without concern about losing some down the sink drain. The pot is also useful for preparing homemade soups when a non-stick pot is desirable. The vented top can be kept on while cooking to decrease cooking time, and this feature reduces the likelihood of an accidental boil over. I’ve discovered that the non-stick interior will require additional cooking time for pasta and noodles. When preparing these, add on a few minutes to the cooking time to get it “just right.”

The Pot We Like. The Quality Leaves A Bit To Be Desired.
By AZ Customer on Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2023
After using this pot several times, we’re not sure what to make of it. We’re no experts in stainless steel, but this pot has got to be made out of a low grade material. This picture was taken after its first use. Really? What’s with all the spots and discoloration? All we did was boil spaghetti in a Pasta Pot. We looked it up and found the scientific explanation about how spots can occur on stainless because of hard water and rainbows can occur because of excessive heat, blah, blah, blah. That’s all good and well, but we’ve never seen it on our stainless pans before and it looks terrible, so we were debating about sending this pan back in disappointment. It’s pretty sad when a pot can’t handle the normal boiling heat of a burner. But then we learned the vinegar trick and the pan cleaned up good as new. Ok, fine, we’ll keep it. Then we cooked pasta again, and the same thing happened. Geez, this is a high maintenance pan if we have to clean it up with vinegar after every use. We didn’t have this much trouble with our last Bialetti Pasta Pot. Granted, it was the original Teflon version that got its share of scratches over all the years we had it. It was getting pretty pitiful looking and we probably should have replaced it long ago, but life happens. Anyway, it’s now time to replace it, so we went shopping hoping to find another just like it, because we really like the pot itself. It’s a great size and shape for boiling pasta and all manner of things. We always liked the locking strainer lid, and that ol’ pot got plenty of use over the years. We happily found the original Pasta Pot still for sale, but now saw a stainless version. We got that one thinking it would be better than another Teflon pot that will scratch up again. The new Pasta Pot was beautiful on arrival (shiny stainless that looks like a fun house mirror on the outside), and it’s actually bigger than the old pot. The honeymoon ended quickly after the first use, as shown. Repeated use has left us feeling so-so about this pot. Again, we like the pot itself for its functionality, but whatever quality of stainless that it’s made out of leaves a bit to be desired. Our research said that the spots and stains aren’t harmful, so we’ll just live with it looking ugly. After all, the outside looks fine in the cupboard between uses, and we’ll only see the ugly when we open it to use it. Besides, the only other option is to switch it for a Teflon version, which we don’t really want again. So 5 stars for the concept of our beloved Bialetti Pasta Pot, 1 star for the disappointment in the quality of the new version, leaves us right in the middle at 3 stars.

“A Stylish and Functional Cookware Set for Everyday Cooking”

I recently got my hands on the Bialetti Taste of Italy Nonstick 10-Piece Cookware Set, and it’s quickly become a staple in my kitchen. This set promises Italian-inspired design with practical performance, and for the most part, it delivers—perfect for home cooks who want quality without overcomplicating things. Quality and Build:
The first thing you notice is the sleek, modern look—matte black finish with a subtle texture that feels upscale. The pans are lightweight yet sturdy, made from aluminum with a solid nonstick coating inside. The handles are comfy and stay cool during use, which is a big plus for stovetop maneuvering. The glass lids fit snugly and let you peek at your food without lifting, though they’re not as heavy-duty as some premium brands. Overall, it’s a well-crafted set that feels good to use. Performance:
The nonstick surface is a winner—eggs slide off with zero effort, and sautéing veggies or searing chicken has been a breeze with minimal oil. Heat distribution is impressively even; I’ve had no hot spots on my gas stove, and everything cooks consistently. The set includes a nice variety—8” and 10” fry pans, 1.5qt and 2.5qt saucepans, a 5qt Dutch oven, plus a bonus 10” sauté pan—all with lids where it counts. Cleanup is as easy as advertised; a quick wipe or light scrub does the trick, though I’d avoid dishwashers to preserve the coating. Value for Money:
For a 10-piece set at this price, it’s a fantastic deal. You’re getting versatile sizes and a cohesive look that rivals pricier brands like Calphalon or T-fal, but without the hefty tag. It’s not pro-chef grade, but for everyday meals—think pasta, stir-fries, or soups—it’s more than up to the task. The bonus sauté pan feels like a thoughtful extra that adds real utility. Minor Notes:
The nonstick coating is great but feels like it’ll need gentle care—no metal utensils or high heat abuse if you want it to last. The lids can get steamy without a vent, so expect some condensation buildup during long simmers. Also, it’s marketed as “Taste of Italy,” but don’t expect artisanal vibes—it’s more about style than heritage. Check compatibility if you’ve got induction; this set works best on gas or electric. Overall:
The Bialetti Taste of Italy set is a practical, eye-catching addition to any kitchen. It’s not flawless, but it nails the basics with flair and affordability. Whether you’re a beginner cook or just need a reliable refresh, this set brings solid performance and a touch of class to the table. 5 stars for balancing quality, price, and style!

This pasta pan is excellent! I like the oblong shape, so Spaghetti, Linguine and Alfredo noodles fit perfectly. Very sturdy and lid is tight when closed. Easy to clean and store. I highly recommend this pasta pan! A+A+A+A+A+

Not the highest quality pasta pot but the most functional for me
By Kathleen San Martino - Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2025

My boyfriend purchased this exact pasta pot in red at a local sale for only ten dollars and I was so jealous. I knew all its quirks and had tried other pasta pots before including cooking with his. However, even though this is not high end, it is the most functional pasta pot I have ever had the pleasure to use. I purchased this on Amazon at the current price of $34.99 plus tax, which is competitively priced. Below are the positives and negatives. POSITIVES - The pot is lightweight and non-stick. - The handles and oblong shape keep the hot water and steam away from my hands. I do not even need a potholder to dump the water. - Pasta can be drained directly from the pot. - There is a slight lip or pour spout on either side that allows water to be drained from the front of the rippled lid and from the lid holes. - The oblong shape allows me to put in linguine and other long pasta into the pot whole. Some pastas may be cut longer. In that case, the pasta will sit mostly in the water to start and then immediately cook down and fall into the pot. - Heat resistant silicone or wooden utensils can be used to stir the pasta. - It comes with a 5-year warranty from manufacturing defects. NEGATIVES - The top is a bit difficult to get on and off. - The top also doesn't always sit even with the rim of the pot unless one forces it closed with strength, like I did in my photo on the stove. - This pot is not high-end and may dent and scratch easily. Although I prefer stainless steel, it is not non-stick and those pots tend to get hot. Bialetti does make this pot in stainless steel but I prefer this one. - Metal or other sharp utensils cannot be used to stir the pasta water--only heat-resistant silicone and wooden implements should be used. In summary, I love this pasta pot. Although, I personally prefer high-end pots and pans like All-Clad, Caraway, or Demeyere, none of the stainless steel draining lid pasta pots like this one are as functional (and safe for me) as this low-end Bialetti. It is a solid 4-star pot and perfect for my needs. I also love the teal color as it matches my kitchen.
Great for pasta and Rice!! No need for separate strainer!

I recently purchased the Bialetti Oval 6 Quart Multi-Pot with Strainer Lid and I must say, I absolutely love it! One of the standout features of this multi-pot is its versatility. It's perfect for cooking rice as it allows me to easily strain any excess water out using the convenient strainer lid. The pot itself is not too heavy, unlike a dutch oven, which makes it easier to handle and maneuver in the kitchen. Cleaning is a breeze with this multi-pot. I simply put it in the dishwasher and it comes out looking as good as new. The scratch-resistant material ensures its durability and long-lasting use. The oval shape of the pot is especially useful for cooking pasta. It accommodates longer pasta strands without breaking them, which is a definite plus. The generous 6-quart capacity allows me to cook larger quantities of pasta or other dishes that require a significant amount of water. One thing to note is that it may take a little longer for the water to reach boiling point due to its larger size. However, once it does, it maintains a steady heat throughout the cooking process. I also appreciate the tight-fitting lid. It stays securely in place, preventing any unnecessary spills or accidents while cooking. Overall, the Bialetti Oval 6 Quart Multi-Pot with Strainer Lid has become an essential tool in my kitchen. Its versatility, easy cleaning, and durable construction make it a worthwhile investment. Whether you're cooking rice, pasta, or other dishes, this multi-pot delivers excellent results.

Works great. We bought this primarily for spaghetti noodles, but have used for several other things that we need to drain. Lid fit tight, so no worries when pouring liquid out.

I’ve had a purple Bialetti pasta pot for over 10 years and it has gotten so much use and the nonstick finish has never deteriorated. I purchased this stainless steel pasta pot for my son and I hope he loves it as much as I love mine.
