Good Air Filter
By B. McCarver on Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2024
I purchased this air filter for my bedroom at my house. There has been one at my parents’ house for a while and it has been a big help in the downstairs room that the two cats stay in sometimes due to the weather. I have indoor only cats at my house and also have metal shelves in my room that have some kind of pressboard for the flat part. These boards put off a smell from time to time and it aggravates my sinuses. So because of that and the cats, I bought this air purifier. So far, it has done well. I have not noticed the wood smell anymore and the air seems fresher. My throat is not as dry and irritated as it had been. There are three levels. At night I run it on the lowest and it is fairly quiet and doesn’t interfere with me sleeping. I would recommend it. This is the second Miko my family has had and I will probably purchase another for my den area.

Lasted 15 months, used for a few hours a day Mon-Fri.

It worked fine for 15 months, it only has a 12 month warranty. The power button goes crazy like it senses that something keeps touching it so it'll cycle the speeds a few times a second (beep beep beep... beep... beeeeeeepp beep). Yeah it's annoying so can't use it anymore. I did take it apart and clean the sensing coils or whatever that type of touch component is called but it detects when you bring your finger near it and the PCB board that controls that with 91% iso alcohol but it still does it so in the trash it goes. I always had issues with the product description and images. I doubt it has a "Active Carbon Filter" liner on the filter. It does create Ozone so do your research. The "Essential oil amplifier" it's now called and at the time I bought it they said it was a diffuser BUT all it is is just a sponge in a tiny cup on top that you soak with your oils. The "essential oil port" is just a cap that has holes that you remove to see and soak the sponge. The whole essential oil thing is kinda pointless anyways because the smell from the oils gets some what neutralized by the Ozone that this thing creates. Ozone destroys organic material so if your car stinks you'd buy an Ozone generator and stick that in your car for an hour or two to permanently destroy the organic source and smell like mold/mildew or pet "stuff" rather then getting it shampooed. The "replacement filter indicator" is just a run timer and not an actual dirty filter indicator so your filter might not be dirty or "that" dirty when it comes on. Some bearings noise when on medium or high. I would give this 3 stars but because of carefully chosen marketing words to hide somethings, choosing not to mention something like Ozone and only lasting 15 months I have to give it a 1 star.
