Good product !

FIRST it’s not 100% smokeless, obviously there’s going to be smoke from the grease. BUT it’s not a huge amount of smoke at all, I’d recommend putting it under a vent like I did. The food came out tasting great! But as you’d expect you don’t get that outdoor grill smoky flavor on it…but hey its an indoor grill for a reason. Great gadget for your buck! And can’t wait to try out the rotisserie feature ! Over All I’d recommend, good versatile tool in a kitchen!

First review and my first impression...

Received it today. The box was damaged in three places. I was hoping it was not handled improperly by the delivery man. When I opened the box, there was another box with some paper protection. That box looked ok. So opened it and there was another box, the original retail box. To make sure it did not suffer any further damage unpacked it, read the instruction manual, then plugged it into the outlet. Power led came on, but could not find the power switch. The instruction tells to operate it with the timer. Well...Design: Clean, but there is room for improvement such as power on/off switch and use the timer as a feature instead of using it as a power on/off switch. I can understand the logic behind it, but still not convinced.Accessories: The grill is somewhat thin and the finish is not that good as attached pictures, clearly indicating QC issue. Non-stick surface came with scratches and reveals a very thin and non-durable coating. (Will be contacting the customer service to address the issues. Let's see if the CS is good.) The fish basket came without the locking wingnut. The basket wire is also thin as well as the kebab wheel (came bent already) and skewers. The tray that collects the fat/grease/etc is thin but well designed and slides out with no effort.Rotisserie: Very quiet for the first 15 min or so then started making noise, low for now.Housing: About 2/3 of the lower body becomes warm, but the top part gets HOT. The test run was set for full 90 min.Timer: Used to turn the heater on and off. It makes the tic-tac noise that traditional cheap portable kitchen timer makes. Very annoying.Suggestions for improvements: A raised glass lid will be plus. Power on/off switch. Better wall insulation to make the unit cool to touch. Digital control with digital timer. Accessories made with a little more sturdier/better quality materials.Reliability: Since the manufacturer/vendor claims that it was built to last for a long time, let's see. Hope it does not die on the day 366 or 367 just after the warranty.Since the unit survived the first 90 min test run, plan to cook a lot to test all functions/features. Once the full test data has complied, will update this review.Update on Aug 5: Chicken and meat Kebabs came out good. Technically there was almost no smoke. Only when the fat splashed to the side glasses that are very hot some smoke was produced. When that happens the glasses and the bottom housing get browned and it is somewhat hard to clean. The grilling worked fine too. I also used the wide kebab skewers to cook Shish Kebab and they came out very good too. Used the rotisserie to cook a thick strip of pork belly at 400 F for 45 min. Awesome result! Toasty outside and juicy inside. I used to bake and broil them in the oven. This one came out a lot better. So far, it is doing a good job. One thing new: The rotisserie began stopping for 1 sec on every turn. Will update if it gets worse.
