UPDATE: the door cannot be fixed and the lower screw keeps falling off which is a hazard in so many ways. Being that this is the second time this same product has had the same issue with the same part, I cannot recommend this product. This is our second crate as we had to return the first one. There are many things we love about this especially the durability. However, the door seems to be an issue. What good is a crate if the door doesn’t work? On the first one, the first thing that went wrong was the bottom screw fell out. Ok... we fixed it but it should not have happened. The screw was on the floor with the dog in it so it was not the safest situation. The second time the knob fell off. Since it is spring loaded, this could not be fixed. Amazing issues a return/exchange but the door was stuck so I was without a crate which was another mess in itself. Packaging and shipping a 50 lb crate like this was also difficult. We did this and received the new one quickly. But guess what? Went down yesterday to let my dog out and the screw to the door was in the floor. What the heck? This isn’t a cheap piece of equipment. Now I’m waiting for the knobs to fall of again. If this has to go back a third time, I am not going to be happy. This really needs to be addressed as this is a safety issue and since it has occurred more than once, it is obviously a manufacturing problem.
