Literally recommended by my dentist and I love it
By RiDaveAmazon on Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2024
I have had many electric toothbrushes in my life, but the Oral B Genius has some key features that puts it in a league of its own. There is a two-minute timer, and it also alerts the user at 1/4 intervals, in case you are brushing in four quadrants. The best feature is a red light when you are brushing too hard. And if you really want a gold star from your dentist, you can connect to an app on your smart phone which assesses the quality of your brushing and points out areas where you may need more focused effort. The battery recharges overnight and then stays charged for a solid week. There are many other features, too, like different speeds and settings if you want some variety, plus different brush heads. There is nothing I do not like about this toothbrush.

Is This Brush Head Too Big Or Is My Mouth Too Small?
By Rustyboy10 on Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2022
I think I have a pretty "normal" sized mouth, so for me, the brush head and shaft were just too big to have any success using this toothbrush. Firstly - the positives. It is fancy looking. It has lots of "modes". It connects to Bluetooth. It does light up like a Christmas tree if you brush too aggressively. It does come with an app (that I never used). But that is about it. I used a Philips Sonicare for many years prior to purchasing the Oral B. I made the brand switch after my Sonicare died because of Oral B's "Dentist's Recommend" rating and that my own Dentist sells Oral B brushes. Here are the faults I found with the Oral B. The distance between the tip of the brush head to the opposite end of the "head" is considerable, meaning that it's difficult to brush behind your back teeth - especially if you have a "void" where your wisdom teeth once existed. The shaft, when compared to a "manual" toothbrush or the Philips Sonicare is quite thick, so when I brushed, I drooled, because I couldn't close my mouth around it. OK, it sounds like I'm writing a graphic adult novel at this point, so I hope you're getting a few giggles. Lastly - and most annoying to me - you can only change "modes" while the brush is operating. So if I want to change from "Diamond Clean" to "Tongue Clean", you have to figure out how to push the right button and get it to land on the right setting while the brush is still running in your mouth OR remove the brush from your mouth to look at the button/settings and splash water and toothpaste everywhere. Not ideal, especially if you're in charge of cleaning the bathroom. Full disclosure, I never connected the bluetooth, used the app or traveled with it because it was really unusable to me as a "toothbrush". I'm sure they work just fine. I'm back to using a new, a simple Sonicare with two modes, no bluetooth, no app, and really happy I made the switch back. And no, I'm not a paid shill for Philips. I'm sure this toothbrush has lot's of "5 Star" ratings, but It didn't work for me and my normal sized mouth.
