Chefman Digital Electric Glass Kettle

My quest is to have hot tea every morning waiting for me when I awake, just like the millions of coffee drinkers. First I tried the Breville One Touch with the $300+ price tag. It was perfect UNLESS you break the carafe. And you ALWAYS break the carafe at some point. There is no carafe replacement and you have to replace the whole unit. Then I found the Brewista Smart Brew with a far better price around $150. I've bought 2 of them in about 2 years. It works well until it doesnt which is about 1 year. Last I tried the Chefman electric kettle around $85 with the so called set time. It doesn't allow you to set the time to heat the water, you can only set how many hour and minutes from when you set the delay start. A simple clock would've been nice but no. Then when you get up you insert the tea basket and wait 3 to 4 minutes for your tea. Ok, not exactly the ready upon wakening that I wanted but I made do. However that kettle quit working after about 4 months. The temperature sensor seems to have gone bonkers. I guess I'm back to the old fashioned tea kettle that I make when I awake one cup at a time. No reliable Mr. Coffee for tea drinkers.
