Works as described and easy to use.

Makes perfectly round eggs on the griddle. Used while some relatives were visiting and we made sausage, egg, cheese biscuits just like at the local Mic D’s. Once the egg is slightly cooked the egg ring can be gently removed so that you can flip the egg for over easy style. Made both sunnyside up and over easy and also a couple where the yoke was broke for one person who did not like runny yokes. If anyone says this does not work as described and that the eggs leak under the ring and spread out beyond the ring then they are not using it correctly and need to actually read the instructions and not just look at pictures. I had one egg out of four the first time I used these leak under the ring but that one was my fault as I bumped the ring with my hand as I cracked the egg into the ring. Have made over two dozen perfectly round eggs since I got these and expect to use them almost every day. Easy to use and clean. I also have a couple metal ones that work just as good but find the silicone ones easier to store away in a drawer. Final note: apply non-stick spray or cooking oil to the inside of the ring as instructed and there is no sticking of the egg to the egg ring.

OK for the price but there are better options out there

I purchased these to replace a 30 year old set of stainless rings that our daughter was given by a McDs owner at from her first job. Those were lost in a recent move and cannot be replaced. Those were heavy, commercial grade so I won't do a direct comparison to those. When I first tried these, despite the fact no instructions were included with the rings, they simply did not work. Even after pre-heating the rings as suggested in another review , the whites of raw eggs would simply flow under the ring. After several days of trying I finally was able to get an egg to stay within the ring but but without adding a large amount of unwanted vegatable oil to cover the bottom of the pan and essentially float the raw egg within the ring until cooked. I tried non-stick cooking spray but that didn't work. Well I prefer not to have the added calories of cooking oil not to mention wasting so much of it each time just to fry an egg so these went back to Amazon. Next I tried several of the stainless steel cooking rings sold here on Amazon. Even though those were stainless they were way to lightweight to contain a raw egg. I guess I was spoiled having owned a set of the commercial stainless rings from McDs. After trying several additional versions of the stainless rings offered here on Amazon I finally realized they are all from the same manufactrer and would not work. I finally settled on a pan specially designed to make round eggs. You can fry 4 eggs at the same time and no worries of them leaking becuase the design of the pan has four indentions pressed in the bottom of the frying pan. This solution seems to work for now. These silicone rings would be OK if used to fry something solid like hashbrowns, corn beef hash, grits, or even pancakes since the batter is thick enough not to flow under the ring. However unless you are willing to use large amounts of oil, for raw eggs this product is a fail! The seller should remove eggs from the product title!
