12x12 Square Pictures Frame Display

I purchased these frames, based on seller's information, to use to frame a collection of postcards. Unfortunately, these frames will not work for a postcard without having new mats custom cut by a frame shop. Old postcards are 3-1/2 x 5-1/2 inches. Now for the actual frame measurments. The outer measurment of the frames is 5-1/16 x 7 inches. The width of the wood which makes up the frame is 3/4 inches, not the 1 inch as the seller states. The opening in the rear of the frame is 4-1/8 x 6 inches, so a stock 4x6 photo can be inserted. The inset has a 7/32 inch lip, meaning that this much of the border is obstructed on all four sides. The opening in the front of the frame is 3-5/8 x 5-9/16 inches. The frame is supplied with a white cardboard mat. The opening in the mat is 2-5/8 x 4-1/8 inches. Lastly, the frame has a clear plastic cover. The seller ;er refers to this as an "acrylic plate." The word plate is a misnomer. The acrylic is quite flexible, and is only 0.02 inches thick (or thin).. It is very easy to scratch, so take care when peeling of the protective film from both of its sides. It is a decent frame for the price. It earned only a single star rating from me because of the misleading description and inaccurate measurements.
