Seems to be a great pot!!!
By R. A. Edington on Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2022
Great Pan! Very happy. Pics attached! First off, just a note to people who put non-stick ware in the dishwasher. DON'T. I don't care how "dishwasher safe" it says it is. Just DON'T. You WILL ruin your non-stick in the dishwasher. Take it from me who ruined tons of non-stick ware before learning my lesson. Hand Wash Only for a long life! And of course, don't use metal utensils, EVER. I was a little leery of buying this, but it seems to be fairly high quality. See attached Pics! First shows non-stick interior after cooking a batch of split pea soup - great condition, no problems. Non-stick worked great, was able to hand wash and rinse it clean afterwards very easily. Compared to how readily my stainless steel stockpot used to accumulate cooked-on gunk in the bottom, this pan answered all my prayers and then some. The interior is standard silvery-dark-grey non-stick, which was a concern as pics and description seemed to indicated 'black non-stick' which means, what? But the non-stick seems perfectly ordinary and functional. The split pea soup did not stick one little bit during cooking (brought pot up to temp on electric stove, using setting 6 out of 10, continued cooking on setting 3 to 4). Next pic is of the bottom, which is very attractive and pretty non-cheap looking to my eyes. I wonder why the stock pics don't include this shot! The little dots must be steel, as I did confirm that magnets do attract to bottom of pan (for induction cooking) but not to sides of pan which must be aluminum. Heating seemed very nice and even. The lid fit perfectly and has a little hole to let pressure escape so the edges of the lid don't bubble. The lid has old-school knob handle which worked fine, was able to lift lid without potholder while cooking. Was able to boil my split pea soup VERY full in the pot, with top of soup basically touching the edges of the lid, and it didn't do anything weird re: boiling over. The side handles also looked good. One review made me scared that the rubber stuff on the side handles might be slipping all over, but they look like they're stuck in place so good I can't picture them moving. Maybe if you put the whole pot in the oven they might get wonky, but I won't be doing that. There is a couple of tiny scratches now in the bottom of the interior, but I think that's because I threw the ham bone in the split pea soup and was scraping it around the bottom with my spoon. Also I love the size. Fits very nicely for my purposes between too-small 8 Qt and too-large 12 Qt. Overall, I give it two thumb's up, especially for the price.

Handles slide, Nonstick peels.
By Joseph Garrett on Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2024
When the pan gets hot, the rubber handle covers slide all around. And the nonstick covering the bolts that hold the handles on peeled immediately.
