Good for people who have back pain
By Jay K on Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2020
This is the best mattress I have used in my life. I had two mattresses in the last 8 years. The most recent one was extra firm and my wife thought it was a little too firm so we decided to replace the mattress after two years of use. After a decent time of research, I decided to give this one - medium firm king sized mattress a try. This is a little bit more expensive than my previous one but it is worthy. Now, let me talk about this mattress: I did not try a mattress without spring before and honestly, I was a little bit worried. However, the quality surprised me! It supports my back so nicely. I have a really serious back problem so I am so picky about the mattress. But after the first night sleep on this, I didn’t feel any pain at all. Normally, if the mattress is too soft, my back pain comes immediately. It also doesn’t transfer movements. My wife said she likes this mattress and it is the best overall. This is not too firm but not too soft. I don’t like soft mattress so I did not try the soft side. It can be compared to 1k+ mattresses in the store. Also there were no odor at all. We are considering to buy another one for our daughter too. Maybe it will happen soon. I highly recommend this mattress to all especially those whom have back pain like me.

Poor customer service, lousy mattress
By B on Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2025
Where to begin? I bought this because of the reviews it had. Soon after I started using it (after following the instructions), there was a depression forming. I rotated the mattress and shifted my sleeping area. Few weeks after that, another depression formed. After a while, I messaged customer service. They wanted photos. It took me a bit because I was in the hospital, however i promptly emailed them when I got home. After that, radio silence. No response from customer service. This mattress is not durable, and not comfortable with all the issues. It seems nice and thick when opening it, but that goes away. I’m not sure how everyone else has such glowing reviews. This is not a good mattress and customer service is dismal at best.

A memory foam matress which is well balanced between comfort, support and firmness

This mattress fills up all the corners of my bedframe very well. It took almost 48 hours to expand fully. I saw one of the video review of a boy walking around a cup of water in the center of the mattress, I found it risky but tried anyways. Surprisingly, this mattress passed that test very impressively, minimum motion transfer. This is very important when your spouse has sleep issues and keeps moving all night. I bought a medium firm mattress and it feels perfect for me so far. It balances very well between firmness, support & comfort. This mattress will work for both the side sleepers & back sleepers, just flip it accordingly. The only issue that comes with every memory foam mattress that is less support while sitting on the edges. However, it was not a problem when you lay down. It was in half the price of my previous mattress but it feel more like an upgrade to me. The delivery service included in the price made setting this up a breeze too. It was really heavy but they delivered it to my bedroom on the 2nd floor, set it on my bed frame and cleared all the clutter. It also cames with a warranty which provides peace of mind.
Very firm mattress for someone with curves

I tried the 12-in version of this bed and while I REALLY wanted to like it, it is far too firm for me. I am a woman with curves (~150 lbs and curvy) and in my initial couple of days in this bed, I thought it supported me well. But as I went along, I began to have back problems after several uses because I don't think I was sinking in quite enough (as someone with a larger booty, I need to be able to sink in enough to support my lower back). I tried the bed for about a month, so I feel like I gave it my fair shot. In the end, it was far too expensive to keep when I'm continually waking up with back problems. I imagine throwing a topper on the mattress might help, but again, at that price point, I didn't want to spend additional money to "make it work." It's definitely a nice mattress and I loved the feature of being able to take the cover off to wash it. I think it'll work great for a lot of people, but I caution those with curves - it may not be the one for you. As far as the ease of returns, Amazon allowed provided a one-time refund without me having to actually return it (so I'll have to figure out what to do with it). It was super simple - I just used Amazon's chat tool. I imagine that's my one and only chance to do that, so I've got my fingers crossed that the next one I buy is a keeper!

The full size Sweetnight mattress arrived ahead of scheduled time and packaged very well in a heavy cardboard box with handle cut outs. Within that box there was a drawstring bag holding the plastic covered matress that was wrapped in another layer of shrink wrapped plastic. It was fun to open and watch it become full size. The mattress in the box is rather heavy, however my 83-year old husband and I (age 72) were able to open the box and place the the mattress on a bed platform before "inflating" it by ourselves without much difficulty. A small tool to open the deflated mattress worked well and avoided the possibility of cutting the mattress while cutting the plastic wrap. The mattress did have an odor when we opened it, but the odor completely disappeared within 72 hours. The mattress appeared to fully "inflate" in minutes even though the company says it takes 72 hours to fully inflate. It is exactly 10 inches thick. It appears to be of a high quality and sewn well. I have been sleeping on the "firm" side and it is firmer than my last mattress. The really good news... I wake up with NO bachache!! I do need to get used to the firmness. I am also looking forward to trying the "soft" side. I am very happy with my purchase. One more comment, the sheets that I have fit perfectly and I find this mattress is easier to make up with fitted sheets than my previous mattress even though the previous mattress was not as thick.

I’ve purchase this Full size mattress for my new house. The mattress itself is definitely a medium firm, so if you're looking for a more plush feel, plan on a topper or looking elsewhere. The mattress provides plenty of support and does an excellent job of relieving pressure points, even at the medium firm level. Take that for what it's worth, though, as I'm also partial to medium firm...that's what I've slept on for the better part of my life. It's also worth noting that the mattress has done a great job of dissipating heat. I tend to sleep hot. The price point is also great. At ten times less expensive, I feel the comfort level is on par with the Tempurpedic mattresses that I had cross shopped at various brick and mortar furniture stores in my area (and almost bought into at the suggestion of the seller!). I'll update if things change, but so far, I'm extremely satisfied. This is my first time ordering a mattress online from amazon my experience has been excellent. I was able to setup this mattress myself. My husband came home from work and was surprised I had setup myself. The hard part was getting the old mattress out of the room. I noticed no smell once unwrapping. I will highly recommend this online shopping experience to any friends and family.

I used to use an Ikea mattress, i believe it was called the Haugsvaur or something. It was 400 dollars, same price as this. Anyways, I began to have back pain! I am only 25 years old, I exercise regularly so I knew the back pain had to most likely be related to my mattress. I finally bit the bullet and decided to change my mattress even though i literally just got the new ikea matress 6 months ago. After alot of research, I decided to get this because i read alot of reviews from people who said their back pain got better from this. Trust me, I was skeptical, but honestly at wits end. Ever since the first night of sleeping on this, I can say it has definitely helped with my back pain. I cant say it has completely made it go away, but for sure it has helped at least 60-70% of the pain which is more than I was expecting. I sleep on the firm side, and I see zero reason to switch to the soft side since the firm side seems pretty darn comfy to me. It isn't too hard, and it isn't too soft (granted this is pretty subjective.) But I feel it is just right. I am not sleeping "in" the mattress, but on "top" of it if you know what i mean. It has been a week and a half at the point of writing this review. So far so good. My ONLY concern moving on, is whether or not this will turn out to be a quality lasting mattress. I have heard of memory foam losing it's firmness over time, so that is my only fear. I will try to come back and update this review maybe after a year or so, but so far so good. Also, some reviews say there is a smell. I noticed it when I unpacked but honestly it was like a 3/10 in terms of intensity and even that went away in a reasonable 4-5 hours.

An Honest Review

Sigh...I REALLY wanted to like this mattress, but alas this mattress has sadly disappointed me. To start, I bought this mattress back in June, I have had this mattress for about 6 months now. Prepare yourself for my long and winding story... After struggling with my old mattress which had become old and was starting to dent at the middle, I decided to purchase a new mattress from Amazon. In the past I had purchased a Zinus Green tea mattress, and genuinely had a positive experience. However, recent information about Zinus mattresses and fiberglass had kept me cautious about wanting to purchase another Zinus mattress again... so I decided to do a bit scrolling on Amazon and look for possible alternatives. I ended up buying a mattress from an unknown company on Amazon, only to get sent the wrong mattress (please don't make the same mistake I did folks! If you do purchase a mattress from an unknown company make sure to buy from a either a reputable company, or one that has a good record of satisfied customers! Also check that your packaging is clearly from the company you bought it in order to avoid stressful returning and refunding policies) Anyways, despite that, I tried to give that mattress a try and it didn't work-out; It was a hybrid mattress that was just too soft, and it caused nothing but back-pain and heartache. After Amazon was nice enough to refund me, I decided to give another mattress a try... I found Sweetnight. After my prior experiences I was very hesitant about purchasing another bed-in-a-box, but I decided to take the risk after a bit of research. After reading a fair amount of positive reviews both on Amazon and different mattress rating websites, as well as watching multiple video reviews on YouTube, and even reaching out to the company to ask about whether their they used fiberglass... FYI they don't!! And finding out the mattress not only used gel memory foam, but had flippable firmness levels, I was sold! Let's get down to it, shall we? (Skip here for the important stuff) I won't describe the packaging aspects because I can't remember the exact details that far back, all you have to know is that it arrived early and it was packaged well. It came with a little razor blade card/tool to to help you cut the [vacuumed-sealed] plastic wrap. However, I found it kept getting stuck while sliding against the plastic, and it made it difficult to use, so opted for a good ol' pair of handy dandy scissors instead. It expanded quickly, no horrible smells, no bugs or weird lumps, nor any issues with it's expanded height. The mattress itself comes with a cover/encasement that can be unzipped for washing. I'm not sure what exact materials are used for the cover, but apparently it's Rayon. However, I feel like the white top and bottom may be made with cotton or a material similar to cotton. However, it also feels very cheap and delicate. I later found out that it rips easily after my cat decided to jump on the mattress and have a cat bath, she didn't even purposely scratch the mattress, but rather grasped onto the top cover and it already started to rip (Side-note: My cat would like to add to this review, she says she's sorry and would ALSO not recommend this mattress to other cats and their human servants). To further note, I also remember accidentally spilling something on it, and using water and a wash towel to remove the stain... after rubbing off the stain with a towel and some water, it started to rip. RIP cushiony cover... if you do buy this mattress, please buy a protective cover of some kind. With that said, this mattress also seems to collect a lot of lint (at least on the soft side). The "soft" side is truly soft, it feels like a soft cotton cushion, akin to sitting/sleeping on a marshmallow. I believe that's partly due to the first layer of the mattress which happens to be gel memory foam. When you lie on top of the soft side you do sink in a little and at first it feels comfortable and soft, but overtime you realize there's not much support and your back will end up hurting after a while. For reference, I'm 5'4" and weigh about 175 lbs. There's not much edge support, and you do sink at the sides. The "firm" side, is definitely firm and is akin to sitting/sleeping on what I can only describe as sitting on a soft piece of cardboard. Or in other words, imagine getting the firmest couch cushion and placing cardboard on top of it... or better yet, let me tell you how it actually feels like, it feels like base foam... surprise, surprise that's because it is BASE FOAM. Gasp! Sadly, their whole "flippable mattress" feature is really just a marketing scheme for customers to think they cleverly designed a mattress with adjustable firmness levels. All it is is basically flipping your memory foam mattress on to it's base, you can literally can do this with ANY memory foam mattress that has a firm foundation base. What's funny is that they didn't even bother making the cover somewhat similar to the soft side, it just feels like scratchy non-slip fabric of some kind (like the type of material you would expect to find at the bottom of a mattress or a couch). Also the cover I received didn't even have a zipper handle, I had to hook a paper-clip to try to unzip it. Now for the actually sleeping quality critiques... I'll be honest, when I slept on this mattress for the first 2 weeks, I was in heaven. I thought I finally found a mattress that would let me sleep soundly, and without anymore back-pain. That fantasy story didn't last very long. After 2 weeks, I started noticing I was starting to feel some discomfort on my lower-back. Prior to this, I had first tested the "soft side" for the first week, and then "firm side" for the second week. I had decided to sleep on the soft side for the third week after finding it more comfortable than the firm side. At first, I thought maybe it was because I had switched sides, and since the bed was still new it maybe needed some time to break-it in... but after another week my discomfort got worse and turned into back-pain. I then decided to sleep on the firm side, and it relieved some of of my back-pain for a good day or two, only to wake-up with a sore arm afterward, and eventually more back-pain. It also started to feel like I would sink-in unevenly towards the middle of the mattress. It was a no win situation. After thinking about it, I feel this bed might better for back-sleepers, specifically back-sleepers that are lightweight. As a side-sleeper (and occasionally combination sleeper), and someone whose not exactly "lightweight," but rather in-between light and someone with a heavier build, I don't see this mattress helping anyone who sleeps on their side. It doesn't seem to offer support since your hips sink in, and I don't think it provides proper spinal alignment. I constantly wake-up with back-pain. At the moment I've been trying to endure with a couple of mattress toppers (even bought one of the mattress toppers from Sweetnight, and a latex one), but even they don't really do much, they just make it somewhat tolerable to sleep for an extra day or two. However, every couple of days I have to flip the bed around so my back can find some sort of relief since the mattress toppers eventually give-in to it's poor support. If anything, I would recommend to stay clear of this bed and look elsewhere. If you have the money, invest in something better, even if it costs more. This bed is not worth it, sorry. Maybe some might find this bed comfortable, but I feel maybe only a child or someone whose lightweight, otherwise, there's 50% chance you'll either hate or love it.

Bed is great I will say. Best one I have slept in in many years. Followed instructions opened and layer down just like card said. Didn't allow 72hrs before sleep it was more like 17hrs but when we looked it was filled out in all directions. Went with soft side and I will say if was amazing. We purchased the 10inch full size mattress and it's me who is 5 feet 11 260lbs and wife 5 feet 8 inches and 110lbs and we both had no issues at all. I'm usually a hot sleeper and did not wake once feeling hot. I put on enclosed Bamboo mattress protector and Bamboo sheet set. I'm 42 years old and for last 10 years I have been waking up with bad pains in lower back. I would have to hold my breath to gwt out of bed cause of the pain in back and it would last for hr or so after I wake. First night on new mattress I woke and there was no pain at all in my back. I lay on side watching TV before bed and on soft side I could feel it contouring to my body. We had no issues like some reviews saying bed didn't fully inflate. There was no defects in mattress at all came really nicely packed in a big box and pretty simple instructions on how to open. I'm not sure if they improved but I will say I like the feel of sleeping on this than the high dollar Tempurpedic mattress. I slept on my sister's mattress for weekend once and will say I hated it. Felt way to hard and I kept waking up sweating. She paid I think close to $2000 for that mattress also. I'm really happy that I purchased this mattress and would recommend it to anyone. It was able to help me get a good night sleep (not hot) and wake up with NO pains in my lower back. Not gaining nothing from this review just hopefully helping others like me who scroll thru many reviews and sites hoping to learn about something I can't see for myself. This is my first memory foam I own I told u I slept on sister's and hated it so spring mattresses is what I'm used to.

Buyer: F / Age: 40's / ht: 5'7" / wt: 190s I bought this mattress for its two-sided soft/firm feature. I've been experiencing bad hip pain on one side, regardless of the position I slept in, and had hoped one of the sides would help to lessen the pain. Conventional mattresses were not working. Mattresses developing dips in them after 3-4 months are costly to keep replacing. Reviews indicated that this particular mattress would be a good choice. The mattress arrived packaged well. Opening the roll was easy. The mattress inflated fully while I was at work. Initially, there was a cloying odor, like wet clay. It's been two weeks and the odor is very faint now. I set the mattress SOFT side up and it is extremely firm. It is functional but I'd hesitate to call it comfortable. It's done nothing for the hip pain. I will update this review in a few months to report on mattress integrity and comfort (If I've gotten used to it or what). Update: Almost three years have passed since I purchased this mattress. The firmness is now a WELCOME thing. It has not developed a single dip or worn spot. The hip pain, I've learned, is arthritis. I learned this AFTER having back surgery 1.5 yrs ago. This mattress made recovery pleasant. I am thoroughly pleased with this mattress still and would recommend it to anyone that prefers a firmer mattress. 4.5 stars!
