Avg Joe/Josephine Looking for a chair? Read this
By Galactic Yeti on Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2020
Hi,I am here to review this chair. I bought it during COVID-19 because I need to work from home now. I am unbiased, no-one has paid me to do this, and I consider myself a generally reasonable human being. This chair cost me roughly $135. It's a chair. I am very happy with it. Putting it together was about as easy as putting together a chair could be, it took me about 15-20 minutes. The instructions consist of 6 steps, read all of them before starting because that's always how you should read instructions (life advice, you're welcome)After constructing this chair, I sat in it, as I planned from the beginning. It feels like a very functional chair. I like that you can lean with it, and rock with it. You can adjust height. I specifically wanted something with arms that folded up, this one has arms that do that. If you are super boujee and the type who requires some ridiculous material and comfort padding, don't buy this, but also nothing will make you happy so maybe you should buy it and just be unhappy. If you're normal and you want a quality computer chair with adequate levels of comfort, folding arms, adjustable height and rocking abilities plus good lumbar support (hopefully most people) buy this chair. It's great. Seriously.I see people nitpicking. This is a $130 computer chair. The material is fine. The comfort does the job. I am beyond happy with this chair and would absolutely recommend it to someone who wants an affordable and functional computer/office chair. If you're a picky scrooge nothing, in all reality, will make you happy - so good luck. I love this chair. Checks all of my boxes. Cheers!PS: Check the date of my review, if I never come back and re-review, its because this chair continued to be a chair and I maintained a high level of happiness with its functionality. I will only ever return to this review if something goes terribly wrong/upsets me that is at the legitimate fault of the chair. Cheers!

Not for 8 hours per day

Having approved the purchase and repair of thousands of office chairs during my property career, I've seen very high and low end task seating. In my opinion this falls about low middle in quality. There is a reason corporations spend much more for task seating: durability/safety/worker comfort (read: avoid injury claims). After using for two months, my observations:Pro: looks good, comfortable seat/back/arms. Breathable back fabric. My 5 ft high female partner loves the ability to adjust height more than fixed seating - allowing her to work comfortably at the kitchen height table on a laptop, feet resting on the base, thereby achieving a reasonably ergonomic seating posture. 8 weeks in, with the exception of the tilt the chair performs as advertized- with one exception (see below). Assembly was straightforward, although awkward for one person, but achievable by inverting the chair being assembled and placing it on a surface that will support the seat without (sofa arm in my case), while attaching the back and arms.Cons:The tilt feature (of which I am a big fan) is worthless. The adjusting knob changes nothing rendering the back essentially fixed in place. The back fabric (netting) was pierced by a pen in the back pocket - so far the puncture has not resulted in a tear.My opinion:A decent and affordable task chair for an hour or two of daily use.The piston (height adjustment) is not of typical commercial quality, and would look elsewhere if it were regularly adjusted for more than one person. While other have appreciated the lightness of the chair, I prefer a much heavier base to add stability, particularly for chairs being rolled while in use. We are not large people (less than 165lbs).Were I looking for a task chair for long hours of daily use (without spending $500+), I would look for a supplier selling used office furniture, where Steelcase/Herman Miller/Hon etc. can be bought for a fraction of new pricing.
