Great product

Great product! I was skeptical of the “air fryer movement” but decided to get the Dash 3 quart air fryer when it was on sale. I can’t believe I was missing out on air frying literally everything for so long!! The Dash air fryer is super easy to use, heats up very fast, and most importantly is very easy to clean. We had to cut the cooking time on most recipes by 5+ minutes because this machine works so well! We now air fry all of our veggies with just a tiny bit of oil - they come out crunchy and delicious, and it’s so much easier than roasting them in our regular oven. Also very easy to make desserts in this (air fried churros and Oreos - yum!) The actual cooking basket is a little on the smaller side - 3 quarts is probably only enough for 1-2 people. But, had we gotten the 4 quart or higher, the overall machine size would have been way too large for us. This is a great size for people with limited storage space. I highly recommend this product!

THE PICTURE SUGGESTS THAT THE HOT AIR WILL CIRCULATE AND EVENLY COOK, BUT, I FIND THAT FALSE.

O.k., I bought this during a time when I was hoping to lose weight. Bad idea, as I still wanted French fries occasionally, but realized this was not cooking them as I expected it should. So, I started with frozen French fries from the grocery store. Those on the top of the heap were often overcooked, while those on the bottom seemed nearly raw. I thought the hot air was supposed to circulate, eliminating the need to manually rotate the stuff. THE PICTURE DOES SUGGEST THAT THE HOT AIR WILL CIRCULATE AND EVENLY COOK, BUT, I FIND THAT FALSE. I feared that if I cooked enough of them to figure out how best to use this, I would surely gain weight in the process. What I really wanted were homemade French fries, using unpeeled potatoes. These worked even worse, because of their varying thickness. Years ago, I had a deep fryer; it cooked my homemade French fries as I expected it would, did 6 chicken thighs (without back portions) in 15 minutes, but was a terrible mess to clean up. I sold this Dash DMAF360GBAQ02 Aircrisp® Pro Digital Air Fryer to a neighbor for less than 50% of what I paid for it. I will stick to occasional fast food French fries & fried chicken. I suppose if I had taken the time to get the hang of using this, I might have been able to make French fries as I had hoped. To be fair, I really cook very little; just grilled cheese sandwiches. Everything else goes into the microwave. THE PICTURE DOES SUGGEST THAT THE HOT AIR WILL CIRCULATE AND EVENLY COOK, BUT, I FIND THAT FALSE.
