Omega Juicer C2000B2 Centrifugal 250W

I've waited for a juicer for a long long time after my daughter bent up one of mine years ago. This had decent reviews and was a great price point for what I was willing to spend. I opened the box and was ready to get down to juicing! I prepped some granny smith apples that it was clear no one was going to eat. I cut them all in small enough pieces to put into the chute omitting the entire core seeds and all, all was well. Not long after things just came to a stand still so I thought I'd clean out the cup with the discards and the spinny basket and all that though it was about 1/4 full. No problem came apart nicely, very easy to clean actually without being overly heavy or large. I put it all back together and then faced a second problem. Things went from juicing to stalling to the juicer basked bouncing up and down. My first thought what what the hell?! My second was everything is in place, nothing was missing. That's when I noticed that it was grinding the clear plastic part where you put the pusher into and I now had clear plastic ground pieces in my apple juice. I was very upset at the wasted produce and having to pour so much juice down the drain. I investigated some more and found that a small plastic ring from the bottom of the grinder basket was on the housing but not attached to the basket bottom anymore. It was a clean break that nothing could fix. I'm sad it had such a short life span. 1 day. I'm relieved it had such a short life span that I'm still able to return it. It's not worth sending out or anything like that. This is just a situation where this wasn't the best fit for me. It doesn't mean someone else isn't going to have a lot of success and have this juicer in the home for years working just fine.
