This isn't a foodsaver like sealer! You are wrongetting somethin far better, no special bags, it can seal a 1/2 gallon mason jar of dry goods on its side, and many other things. You should know it weighs 40pounds, and should know what it can do before buying ir. It is a semi-commercial device, built well and it isn't about limited to sealing bags, it is a device with many uses.

Vacuum worked to well.

Purchased this sealer in hopes it would work better and last longer than the standard household ones. On the first test it vacuumed very well but didn't even attempt to seal the bag. Then we discovered the vacuum would not release, so we couldn't open the lid to remove the bag. After a few hours we had to insert the vacuum accessory hose to release vacuum. Second attempt same exact results. We had high hopes for this sealer. The search for a sealer continues.
