Hasbro Gaming The Game of Life Board Game

I picked this up for my GF since she's a fan of the TV show. I was hoping it would be a fun variation on the classic game of life, but it wasn't really that different. They make a couple of references to the show in the instructions, but it's mostly just a standard game of life with different things written on the spaces. All the pieces and movers are standard, there are no fun variations to the cars or pegs or anything. My main issue is that the rules claim you can win early by "becoming a comedian", and includes spaces and mini posters for performing at "open mike nights", but these are just spins that give you some extra money, it really doesn't have any actual bearing on the game. We ended up using our own house rules where you can collect the posters for having successful comedy sets. So it's a fine Game of Life (at a good price), but the tie-in is really just superficial.
