Amazon Basics 8.5 Quart 2-Tiered Digital Food Steamer

If you can figure out how to turn it on and get it to stay on, it would be ok but, we cannot. This is the 4th steamer we've purchased in the last 10 years. We use the steamer for veggies several times a week and also for crab legs every couple of months so they get a workout which is why we've gone through several. Over time the plasric will crack which is why we've gone through so many. But this one is going straight to the trash, I'm not even going to donate it because it's so frustrating to try to use, I don't want to be responsible for a Goodwill shopper experiencing the same irritation and frustration.It's a steamer for goodness sakes. All it needs is a timer and heating element. It's not rocket science. The engineer who created the controls must have being trying to impress a boss by making what should be a SIMPLE 2 step process:1. Turn on2. Set timerinto a ridiculously complicated 57 step process instead. After the 3rd time of biting into a broccoli popsicle, I'm done. It's going in the trash. I'm ordering the one that has a SIMPLE timer dial.
