Very Satisfied
By Cindy McCauley on Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2024
Update 10/16. Still liking this keyboard tray. I read in some other reviews where people say it doesn’t glide smooth. That is true to a degree. It is metal on metal so it’s not going to pull out super smooth, but it is not hard to pull the tray out or push it back in. I believe the directions say to lift it up when you push it back in, which does help make it a little easier as well. I’ve had no problems with stability. As I mentioned before the mounting bracket is in the middle of the board, so you are understandably, gonna have a little bit of flex on the left and right, but I have no complaints at all. It has not come loose. It is not falling apart and the finish on the keyboard. tray looks just as good as when I put it together. I have only been using this keyboard tray for a few days, but so far I am really satisfied. It feels like it is made well and I have no problem getting it to rotate to tilt to adjust height or slide back into the bracket. The Trey itself may feel like it is a little wobbly, but it is honestly not much and if you think about it, you’ve got a 25 inch wide tray that’s being held on by four screws in the center so of course you’re gonna have a little bit of movement on each side of that. But it is not anything to be concerned about. Installation was easy. Took about 10 minutes. I just taped the template up under my desk where I wanted the tray to be installed and we just installed the bracket over the template using it as a guide and then screwed the tray on and that was it. Was not hard or difficult to do at all. The pictures attached I was also trying to show what my desk looks like and what it looks like underneath from the installation standpoint. My desk has a little bit of a lip that sticks out from the front crossbar I guess you could call it. That is about an inch and a half to 2 inches wide so my bracket is set back a little further behind that. So the bracket iis not flush with the front of the top board of my desk. But you can see from the pictures, even with that bracket being set back, as it is when I push the keyboard in it still is not sticking out from my desk. So overall, I am very pleased. It works great.

Pretty good shelf for a keyboard and mouse
By Kindle Customer on Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2021
Got my shelf within two days, well packaged. I first read the instructions and after reading the instructions I thought the order of installation was strange. It first tells you to put on the wrist support onto the shelf, nothing wrong with that but thought it would be better to put on last. This was the part that confused me, it said to install the self onto the support. The support is heavy to start with and to add more weight to it seemed wrong. As in my case, I had to stall the support under my computer desk, and the desk counter top can not be turned over so I had to get under the desk and install laying on my back. There are six holes that needed to be pre-drilled and than the support is secured to the bottom of the desk with six screws and washers. It would have been almost impossible to do this alone and I was alone. I finally figured out to use to work bench clamps, one on each side of the support and clamped it onto the desk, it worked perfectly. Got the support lined up and drilled the holes. Now this is one of the negative parts of the unit and installation. The one part that slides in and out was almost impossible to get to move. While installing you do have to move the slider to get to the front holes. I tried many different ways to get it to slide in and our and couldn't get it to budge. After a while trying I was finally able to get it to move but with great force. I came onto Amazon and read some of the reviews and saw that one reviewer said he used grease on the track to get the slider to move. I did that and it did help a lot. Putting on the shelf was very easy and I do not understand why it was suggested to put the shelf on at the second step. I have been using this for a few days now and it is still very difficult to get the slider to slide in and out without extra force. I used white lithium grease on the track again and it is helping. It is a good looking unit and seems sturdy while typing. I think the shelf could have been a little wider, not much room for the mouse to move around. If it wasn't for the difficulty getting the slider in and out I would give this unit a higher rating.
