Sturdy, Smooth, Quiet
By Mitchell Knight on Reviewed in the United States on October 13, 2020
When I ordered this table, I was given an estimate of 5 to 8 weeks for delivery. However, I actually received it in under 3 days, so I was a little unprepared. I'm glad I was home and not traveling. The packaging was a little damaged on the outside, but did its job protecting the contents. There were two boxes, one for the base and one for the table top. The inner packaging for the table top was beaded styrofoam, which breaks into tiny balls easily and blows in the wind. Not a very convenient or environmentally friendly choice from my perspective. Step 1 of the instructions says to adjust the length of the crossbeam to fit your desk top. This is wrong. You will do that later. What you DO need to do is extend the cross beam far enough to expose the mounting holes for the motorized legs. Once the legs are assembled, you can consider the actual length. The rest of the instructions are clear and assembly was straightforward. Once assembled, this table is HEAVY. You will probably want assistance turning the table upright from the inverted position used to assemble it. Now the best part. The table is very sturdy, and the motor and control mechanism are easy to use. Operation is very smooth and quiet, and it raises or lowers quickly. The memories are easy to set and work well. By default, mine was set to the English measurement system, which is my preference. The instructions tell how to switch to metric measurements The sticker on the control box says that the duty cycle is 10% (2 minutes on and 18 minutes off). But it adjusts so quickly that I doubt that would ever be an issue (unless the kids found the table and were giving each other rides on it.) I bought this taller version because I am fairly tall. At its highest, it is way higher than anything I would ever need. I have 3 memories set. One standard height, one for a tall stool, and one for standing. A total of 4 memories are available. Before ordering, I was a bit concerned about the price, but it is so sturdy and seems to be such high quality that I think it should last the rest of my life. I'm glad I bought it.
