Sealy 3" Twin Memory Foam Mattress Topper

The packaging was very good, well thought out. Easy to unpack, very clean. I let it rest and rise for 12 hrs before using. Initially there was a slight chemical smell but it dissipated within an hour. It was not overwhelming. 1st night of use was very comfortable and I slept well (usually I do not, awakening several times due to pain) with little to no pain. When I got up from bed in morning, very little back pain (this also is unusual) and I moved about with ease. I had bought this topper to help my gel mattress perform better. Success !

I bought this for a mattress that is a bit too firm, hoping this topper would give it just a bit of cushion. My mistake was only letting it expand for two days before putting it on. It was SO uncomfortable the first few nights - my body sank.completrly through to the firm mattress below but only at my heaviest points, so I was strained in uncomfortable slouches with painful pressure points on my hips and shoulders. I was so sad, because what the hell was I supposed to do with a giant useless piece of foam. I rated it 2 stars. But after a good seven days, the foam started to harden up to what I assume is it's expected quality and - OMG what a difference. It is SO comfortable, very supportive now with it fully expanded, so there are no pressure points. I haven't slept this well in years. Take my advice and wait a week before sleeping on it!!!

Despite what other reviews said, I took it out the box and put it on my bed and it had expanded fully after 20 minutes! It did improve the days following but was ready to sleep on then. It is very comfortable and soft but it could be better however my friend has the exact same one and hers is much more comfortable and soft than mine for some reason… if i were to rate hers it would be a 5 but i would give the one I received a solid 4

I have a very firm mattress for my back, but I end up touching it at only a few points which is uncomfortable. This topper adds a thin soft layer that's just enough to fill in the gaps and give me comfortable support over my entire length. It comes compressed and although some reviews indicated that it could take as much as five days to fully expand, I unpacked it in the afternoon, used it that night, and it was fine. It might have improved a bit in subsequent days, but nothing major. I've only had it a short time, so I can't assess how long it will work.

I bought it to make a hard mattress more comfortable while I’m staying somewhere temporarily for 3 months. It arrived in a compact package, and after letting it expand for about 3 hours, it was ready to use. I appreciated that there was no smell, and it’s definitely soft. However, it doesn’t offer much support. I’ve been waking up with some back and neck pain, so I don’t think this would be suitable for long-term use. It’s fine as a short-term solution, but for anything beyond 3 months, I’d recommend something that provides better spinal support.

Very uncomfortable, you sink into the foam which then resists your movements. This might work for a back sleeper but horrible for a side sleeper. Total waste of money. Replaced this topper with TEMPUR-Adapt which was much more comfortable.

its been about a year now and its still like new. Holding up. We have a firm bed and my wide likes it a little softer so this has worked perfectly for her. She stays cool.

I don't think there's a universal scale to determine the density of foam mattress toppers. I'd like one to be a little more firm than this one. It does, however, do what I need it to do, and softens the blow of the very dense memory foam mattress I sleep on (which is so firm it was giving me aches.) Also, this one seems to keep shrinking back to a size just a hair smaller than it was when I first opened it up. Not a deal-breaker, just weird. Cat Rating: when the cat jumps on the bed, my bowl of soup doesn't get jostled but I definitely feel her coming. With the mattress topper I replaced, I didn't feel her coming. Sorry I don't remember the brand.

The mattress topper has a big orange stain on it straight out of the package.
