Evenflo God Securemax Car Seat Black

I wanted to wait a few months of using this car seat before giving my thoughts (hence the dog hair). First, I love Evenflo. I’ve never had a bad product from this company. Overall the car seat serves its purpose. It feels nice and secure and I love how easy the base is to install. The padding is very comfortable and the newborn insert is great. I love that the harness is adjustable without having to take anything apart. It’s very sleek, and looks and feels luxurious. That being said I have just a few minor complaints. The first is that the sun shade does not open and close very easily. It’s very stiff and loud, so if you have a baby sleeping and trying to transfer in or out of the car seat, putting the sunshade up or down might wake them. It’s not easy to do one handed and it’s just very awkward. Second, the lining of the car seat likes to slide off around the edges. It’s not a huge deal but it’s just annoying to be adjusting all the time. There are no clips around the bottom or sides to secure the lining onto the shell of the car seat, and I feel like it could benefit from some. Lastly, is the handle. Having other kids I have to be able to carry the car seat one handed. I usually like to hook my arm under it and carry the handle with my elbow. The problem is that this handle is so narrow, and so close to the sunshade that you have to jam your arm under it and it’s not very comfortable. For the price and the features I think it’s nice. There are just a few minor technical features that could be improved to make the use for parents easier and more comfortable.
