Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 6 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker

This is a little lengthy but it’s an honest review. I purchased this speaker after listening to how awesome my friends HK Onyx 5 sound. I thought getting the Onyx 6 would be just a step up from the 5 but was very surprised that it was not. I bang my music loud, and don’t get me wrong this one does get loud, but the HK Onyx 5 was the winner in the both vocals and bass. The description of this product (HK Onyx 6) stated that this speaker was bass heavy and that is what sold me. I could tell that they tried to bring the bass, However, I believe you still get more bass from the HK Onyx 5. There is one small annoyance that I think lies within the product itself and is the reason why I contacted the seller and asked amazon for a replacement. The sound lowers or skips when switching between applications on the device that the speaker is connected to, in my case my cell phone. I would have pandora or spotify play my music and at the same time I would surf the web, look at my amazon app or whatever the case, and each time I would exit/switch out from one app to another the sound would get lower or it would skip then it would return back to full sound. This is an extremely minor problem as the sound would return and the music would continue to play normally, but it does get a little irritating when you are vibin’, but thats just my opinion. Now for trying to reach the seller (Electronics Club): not possible. That’s it. No contact number and no reply to message sent. Even with the differences between the two models and the minor annoyances of the lowering or skipping of the music, the real reason I give this product a three out of five is because I could not reach the seller, I instead utilized amazon who tried to help me troubleshoot my problem and offered me the replacement. Amazon is a great company and always comes in with the solution. 10 stars to Amazon. I'm going to keep the speaker because it is not a horrible product but if you already have the HK Onyx 5 just stick with it or skip the 6 and move on to the the 7 or 8. The all black speaker is nice on the eyes and the port cover in the back maybe useful in some situations but that just may be the extent of the differences between the two models 🤷🏾‍♀️. Im just saying.
