Works well in my basement office

This air purifier works great for cleaning the air in my basement office (9'x12'). It's quiet enough that it doesn't bother me when I'm on calls. The unit is a bit bigger that I expected, but fits easily in a corner or on an end table. I'm happy with the quality. I don't run it all the time, only for a few hours at a time whenever the air starts to feel stale.

Don't just consider the cost of the machine, consider what a replacement filter costs.

This air purifier does work, but spend more money upfront and replacement filters will not cost so much. I have a small room air purifier for my bedroom that is circular as well. I paid about $10.00 for two filters. When I finally found a replacement filter for the Bionaire on Amazon the replacement for costs half the price of the machine. So when looking for an air purifier don't just consider the cost of the machine. It is the filters that you will pay for over time. If you buy a machine that uses a rectangle style filter not only will you have choices of filters made by various companies. They sell for $15.00 on the expensive side or less. So pay more for the machine and in the long run it will be cheaper to operate for years.
