EXCELLENT!
By Ana Pinheiro on Reviewed in the United States on November 22, 2020
First of all I start by prefacing that this is the review of the Miele cordless vacuum cleaner. As such, I am comparing with other cordless vacuums, like the Dyson. You cannot compare cordless with corded, the suction will always be lesser with cordless. It is the price you pay for the convenience. So especially you should not compare with the best corded. At least this is how I view. The Miele performance is excellent for any vacuum and it just makes it outstanding because it is cordless. You get the best of both worlds. It may not have the highest suction of all vacuums (one needs to test this) but it is nonetheless excellent I have only one bedroom in the house with carpet, a guest bedroom. So I mostly use the vacuum on hard surfaces (hardwood or tile). The cordless vacuum works perfectly for me and I have been using Dyson since it was launched, and last year bought the Samsung. Miele and Dyson comparison: 1) I have used many different models of Dyson. When the battery dies, if you buy a non-Dyson battery, the vacuum does not perform the same, at least this is what happened to me. The second battery also lasted much less time. I still need to see what will happen to my Miele. But the Miele does come with 2 batteries, so that means they will last longer AND I can just switch the battery to finish vacuuming. This was not possible with Dyson, I had to wait for it to charge to finish the job. I guess that does not matter for small home, but mine is a large house. 2) Another feature that improves functionality: There is a switch to turn it ON!!! My goodness, this is such basic functionality! But Dyson does not have it, you need to keep the button pressed at all times while cleaning. Very annoying. 3) The Miele vacuum stays standing up! So many times I need to stop vacuuming to pick up a toy on the floor, and then I put the vacuum somewhere, resting on a wall, and I have broken many vacuums this way because they end up falling on the floor and the canister breaks... So seems it like a small detail, but really makes a difference for me in terms of house this product will function. 4) Suction: The Samsung cordless has all annoying features I list above (same as the Dyson) combined with much worse suction. Plus the Samsung does not work on carpets at all. In the manual they show an attachment for carpet, but it does not come with the vacuum, and I was not able to find it for purchase, not even on the Samsung web site. It is only in the manual. This is actually why I was looking to buy a new vacuum, because I am so dissatisfied with my Samsung. Suction is difficult to compare, unless one of them is horrible and the other one is great. So it is difficult for me to say with certainty if Miele has more suction than Dyson. All I can say is that to me I feel the Miele is better than the Dyson in carpets. The suction seems higher in my opinion, but I did not do any "official" test, not usre such exists. 5) Overall the Miele vacuum quality seems very good, I could feel the pieces are well made when I am assembling it. I would not expect less from Miele. 6) The super brilliant light shows you all the dirt, makes cleaning easier. Loved that. In summary: I am SUPER SATISFIED with my purchase. It was pricey, but to me it was definitely worth it. If you are looking for a good cordless bag-less vacuum (and willing to spend the $$), you found your vacuum. Happy cleaning :)

Lost suction after 1 month of use . Very heavy for stick vaccumes
By Maljan on Reviewed in the United States on June 17, 2022
I would give Zero stars if there was an option. I am am disappointed of Miele.. I have had numerous Miele appliances and canister vacuums and was very happy with their performance in the past. However, this vacuum which supposed to replace my 8 year old Dyson is a bust. I’m sorry I wasted my money. This Miele stick vacuum lost suction power after about 1.5 month of use even though it is cleaned and maintained regularly. It struggles to pick up even light dust of the black bathroom tiles, black door thresholds or hard wood floors. Second problem is it’s heavy weight. For a stick vacuum it is very heavy to use. Also, the dust container is tiny and very cumbersome to remove to empty. Definitely not worth the money. Better save up and splurge on a new Dyson instead. I ended up buying new parts and battery for my 8 year old Dyson and it works great! The expensive Miele stock is going to the trash.
