Poor quality lights and glue

Lights on the church smoked and burnt out less than 10 minutes of it being on. Glue melted and lights came off. The house lights are burning out and the glue has melted and the lights came off. Now one light is blinking. My entire village is setup and is mostly top treasure. The animated stuff is very noisy. I'm rather disappointed and don't know how to go about fixing this failure.
